The hotel is located at a short walk to the town center. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The accommodations were not super modern but were also not antiquated. Everything in the room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was worth the extra money and fresh coffee/tea etc. is available upon request. Parking on property is available but you... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. It's a beautiful hotel in an extremely convenient location. The room furnishings were lovely and enjoyed the balcony facing the front and mountain view. Parking is easy and cheap on the road outside the hotel. The hotel meeting facilities are convenient and the lunches were very good. The breakfast selection was good, but not replenished... More

My husband and myself stayed at the Grand Hotel San Marino for 4 nights. Our room was a good size, good sized bathroom, and with a balcony. However as the balcony overlooked the street one would not be tempted to sit there. The view was spectacular. We had a good sized bed, and the furnishing, while comfortable, was functional rather... I arrived late at the Grand to find an empty lobby and a charming and welcoming host. The hotel was seemingly quiet due to the off-season and I was able to park directly in front of the hotel. I was staying at the hotel during October 2014 for two nights whilst on business. Given that I live out of a... More

There were moments when this hotel felt like the setting for the film The Shining. Perhaps once grand, but not seriously updated for some time, the hotel is certainly past its best. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was no problem with the general cleanliness. Breakfast was good enough. However, my rear facing room was significantly outdated. There... More

This is a very nice hotel in the heart of San Marino. The rooms are big, and the rooms at the front of the hotel have balconies with terrific views. The staff at reception are friendly and very helpful and were able to give good advice on bus times, etc. in the week that I was there. There's a good... More

San Marino is worth the detour but unfortunately hotels in the state have not kept pace with tourism and this, the grandest of them all, was dated and a little sad. Very business centric, there were a number of conferences on while we stayed, there is obviously sufficient demand for rooms in the state they are in so little incentive... More

Grand San Marino Hotel NOT SO GRAND at all actually. Dated furniture and carpets, bathrooms are top of technology in the 70's and everywhere is a feel of old and dumpiness. I have visited the SPA: a number of small rooms in the attic, very crowded with spa machinery and uninviting feel about the place... Definitely nothing to do with... More

We have family in San Marino and usually stayed with them, but this time we needed more space. My family of six had a suite and an attached room. Basically we had 2 bedrooms with a living room in the middle. We had three balconies with great views, despite being on the first floor- one up from the lobby level.... More

Firstly, this is the place to stay in for the location alone. San Marino is surprisingly big and if you were not in the old historical centre it would be a drive each night for dinner, drinks etc. It is worth staying here just for where it is. We had a superior room with a balcony which was very large.... More
