San Marino is worth the detour but unfortunately hotels in the state have not kept pace with tourism and this, the grandest of them all, was dated and a little sad. Very business centric, there were a number of conferences on while we stayed, there is obviously sufficient demand for rooms in the state they are in so little incentive... More

Grand San Marino Hotel NOT SO GRAND at all actually. Dated furniture and carpets, bathrooms are top of technology in the 70's and everywhere is a feel of old and dumpiness. I have visited the SPA: a number of small rooms in the attic, very crowded with spa machinery and uninviting feel about the place... Definitely nothing to do with... More

We have family in San Marino and usually stayed with them, but this time we needed more space. My family of six had a suite and an attached room. Basically we had 2 bedrooms with a living room in the middle. We had three balconies with great views, despite being on the first floor- one up from the lobby level.... More

Firstly, this is the place to stay in for the location alone. San Marino is surprisingly big and if you were not in the old historical centre it would be a drive each night for dinner, drinks etc. It is worth staying here just for where it is. We had a superior room with a balcony which was very large.... More

We got an upgraded room with a fantastic view. the room was nicely laid out and was well worth the extra $$. The staff was very accommodating. Had dinner in the restaurant, which was quite good. Everything about San Marino is like a Disneyland for adults.

My grandchildren and I stayed for only one night in this fine hotel, but it would have merited at least one more day to savor the magnificent mountain scenery from our balcony. The rooms are well laid out and attractively furnished, the lobby is fashionable and the breakfast is slightly above average. Regrettably the hotel lacks a rooftop restaurant.

Only stayed there for one night but this hotel is really, really nice. Has a very sophisticated feel to it. Our room was quite spacious, cozy, modern with a very understated elegance to it. Bathroom was the same. The location was superb for exploring the old town, about 100 meters from the big old gate which is the entrance to... More

We stayed two nights in the hotel and had two rooms, three people to a room. The hotel's location is excellent! The beds are very good and the air conditioning is very good. Our rooms included balconies and the view to the valley below was spectacular. Wi-Fi worked throughout the hotel, which is a big plus. Gabriella was fabulous during... More

I really loved this place, it was just perfect. We've stayed only for one night there, we've got like special offer and reduced price. The hotel is situated on the top of the mountain, so there's very lovely view from the window. Friendly staff and nice breakfast.
