I travelled in winter to Italy, to Florence and made a 2-day stop in San Marino.

The Grand Hotel San Marino is near the top of Mt. Titano and it takes a while to climb the hill. Parking is adequate in the area. The views are spectacular from the top. You can see the beaches of Rimini and the valleys to the west. Service at this hotel was impeccable and the rooms were very nice.

San Marino is a lovely combination of old and ancient. The view from this far up the mountain is breathtaking. Nice location with lovely little shops all around. Once again, horrible hard mattresses...but a lovely old hotel...

Location is about thirty yards outside the gate where the old town centre begins. Situated on the main road up Titano mountain it has a parking garage although I was able to park on the street in front.
