My partner bought an online deal for a 2 nights stay at Akross Hotel where we stayed while on our way to Venice. It was difficult to find to start off with, out of town and near the port. The romm we were assigned had a lumpy, uncomfortable bed. Another room was selected, it was like dormitory room, sparse and nothing of comfort. The bed was a little better, but not much. Breakfast. was sparse also. Not a comfortable experience.

We stayed here 8-11 sept 2006 and have to say we found a gem. This 3* hotel is a little out of town on the port road ,but if you have a car it is well worth this mild inconvenience.
