The staff was courteous and the location very good for visiting the mosaics of Ravenna. Our room was comfortable, if no frills. The breakfast was satisfactory. I think the thing that made this hotel stand out was the reasonable price.

We drove to Ravenna and, after negotiating its somewhat Byzantine streets, found the Bisanzio. While there is no parking garage, the staff provided us with a pass that allowed us to park our car on the street about 1/2 a block away. And there it stayed for the remainder of our 3-day stay b/c the hotel is in the perfect... More

We had stayed at the Bisanzio 20 years ago, in 1994, our first visit to Ravenna. After dropping our bags at the hotel, we parked the car a block away and got settled in our nice, roomy room. According to my diary, the Bisanzio was the best hotel in town in 1994. I’m sure it no longer is, but our... More

The hotel is in a perfect location near San Vitale and with excellent restaurants nearby. Lovely garden. Our accommodation included a jacuzzi And prices were reasonable. What was exceptional was the care shown is by the reception desk, porter and breakfast room staff, but most particularly by reception. It is apparently a family run hotel and they do look after... We had a room in the Best Western about ten years ago and saw it again two years ago. It is very close to the train station, the large church with all the artwork and had a parking area just across the street from the hotel. Ravenna is very walkable and this is a wonderful location in a smaller Italian... More

My main complaint is the non-existent sound-proofing between rooms: as another reviewer pointed out, you can hear everything the guy next door is doing: opening his suitcase, talking over the phone etc. Luckily, the building is located in the ZTL (area forbidden to car traffic) so it is anyway quiet at night. My single room was very small, with an... More

I was very pleased with this hotel for a 3-day visit to Ravenna. Located on the same narrow street as the Tourist Information Office, it's less than a 5-minute walk to the Basilica San Vitale and Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and an easy walk to the other monuments as well as restaurants, shopping, etc. My room was large (especially for... Located on a quiet street this was a friendly place to stay with good service. There is a rear courtyard to sit outside and enjoy a drink at the end of the day. My room as clean and comfortable. An excellent breakfast is provided. WiFi available. A short walk into the centre to several good eateries.

The hotel is well positioned in a quiet street with very clean, cool rooms. There is a delightful garden and we had excellent service behind the desk. There were several restaurants nearby where we could get an evening meal.

I read some of the other reviews and disagree entirely. Personally I do not care what color carpeting is in the room so long as it's clean. The room was large, the bathroom gigantic by European standards with a jetted tub. We were on the 2nd floor and haas no problem with water pressure. Breakfast was in a downstairs area... More
