We stayed in Rubra Apartment #1 which has a wonderful backyard garden at your disposal. The room had absolutely everything you could possibly need. Parking was close on Via Kennedy, 10 Euro for 24 Hours. Rubras' location provides a short walk to charming downtown and all it's attractions. Grocery located 2 minutes away. And then there is Max the proprietor.... More

Three-nights at B&B Rubra were simply fabulous! The entire experience from booking to departure was terrific. Owner, Max, who speaks perfect English, is a wonderful host; he gave great recommendations on what to see, where to dine and where to buy local products. I stayed in studio apartment #3 with huge terrace and equally large bathroom. Very, very clean, plenty... More

We had a lovely few days in Parma at Rubra B&B and Apartments at the end of March. We stayed in apartment 3 and it was everything you could ask for in a home away from home. The apartment is very nicely appointed with a comfortable bed, completely furnished kitchen, modern bathroom, and balcony with a table and chairs. The... More

We just returned home from a week's stay at Max's Rubra Apartments in Parma Italy. We can't say enough good things about the accommodations (as the title says...."Just Perfect"!). The apartment was clean; quiet; extremely comfortable; and centrally located....convenient and walk-able to all! We chose apt. no. 3 as it had a beautiful balcony overlooking the courtyard, which we just... More

We had a very good three days in Parma - our apartment was excellently located, quiet and comfortable, with the added luxury of a daily cleaner included in the price. Max's friend, Marco, who hosted, gave us great advice on where to eat and where to go and we ended our stay with a fascinating discussion of Italian politics, about... More

I have stayed at the Rubra and absolutely loved this experience. I travel a lot for work, so I have seen loads of hotels and B&Bs and I have to say it's almost impossible to come across with places as clean, cozy and welcoming as the one at Max's place. Despite being extremely quiet and relaxing, position as well is... More

Rubra Bed & Breakfast & Apartments truly was our home away from home, and, yes, we could've moved in and stayed forever. It was that nice, that cozy, that inviting. Max was the best! He settled us in quickly and helped us organize our quest for antique markets and good food. We stayed in the downstairs apartment. It was perfect... More

Stayed in the 1brm apartment on the 3rd floor for 2 nights in early September. No lift, so be prepared to climb the 3 flights of stairs, good exercise if wanting to enjoy the fabulous food of Parma. The apartment was self contained (though no washing machine), with a small balcony overlooking the garden area, very nice. Friends stayed in... More

We stayed in Max's very centrally located apartment in late September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very comfortable and has access to a lovely courtyard. There were plenty of dishes and pots for cooking and there is a market down the street on Saturday where you can buy some wonderful fresh food. Max was extremely helpful with... More
