It is 'better than it looks', this may sound harsh, but I think fair. It is not a glitzy in your face hotel, just does the basics very well. 3rd or 4th time I have stayed there so can't be bad. more

A clean, proper hotel with internet (not free), large rooms, well-stocked bathrooms.. reception was not too friendly, but helpful nonetheless. Good stuff, overall. more
Everthing you need from a hotel, quality, charm and convenience, and no pointless luxuries. Thus excellent value for a business trip. However when I return with my wife for a longer, more leisurely stay, this will still be my hotel of choice. more
Staff very friendly and helpful, short walk to city center. Very good breakfast and the restaurant next door has excellent home style cooking and very friendly staff. more
Astoria hotel is very conveniently located, especially if you are coming by train. Some members of the staff were short and border-line rude, especially the middle age lady with dyed hair and glasses. Rooms were modern and clean but matrimonial beds were two mattresses shoved together. Trains were loud at night and the whole place (including the bedroom) was crammed... more
I really liked this hotel because of the price and location. It was very reasonable, £60 for a double in July. We have just returned from Parma where we stayed at the Astoria Executive Hotel. The hotel is just three minutes walk from the train station. The Astoria is a perfect place to stay if you want to be in the historical centre of Parma. The receptionists were very courteous and helpful. Our room was kept impeccably clean. Beds were very... more
Good welcome from staff, basic but clean rooms with a nice shower. Hotel located near station just a nice 10 min walk from city centre but without the price tag for it! Area was fine and never felt unsafe even though near a station late at night. Great parking for just a few Euros. Parma is a great stop, lively,... more
