We stayed in the smart and comfortable courtyard suite at the Al Battistero d'Oro for 3 nights this February. It is a top ranking B&B in all respects but made exceptional by the warmth and welcome by Patrizia a wonderful host who made our stay memorable. A lot has been said of this B&B in other entries and we can... More

Only able to stay one night, but it was like being overnight at a friend’s house. Patrizia is friendly, helpful, and very hospitable. My room was clean and comfortable, with the bathroom down the hall, like in a normal home. The only other guestroom was downstairs, but they had a separate entrance, and their door to my part of the... More

I highly recommend staying at this B&B while in Parma. It is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the culture and sights of Parma with a delightful hostess who envelops you with Italian warmth. I stayed in the Duchessa, which is a quiet suite off the courtyard with a private entrance. The room was well appointed and the bed... More

I had the pleasure of staying at Al Battistero d'Oro for about a week this fall. Patrizia was the best hostess you could ask for. She truly made me feel at home. Breakfast was always a delight and delicious. I stayed Reina room which had it's own small wing in the house. The location is fabulous and was maybe a... More

We stayed in the apartment for 2 night and really loved it. It had a full kitchen and was very spacious. The location was excellent and only a 5 minute walk to the Duomo. Patrizia was my favorite hostess. I would recommend this B&B.

Patrizia is the perfect hostess of this delightful B&B situated in the heart of the old town. Her breakfasts were outstanding, the best we've had in Italy, and so many different home-made items each morning. The Duchessa room was comfortable with plenty of space. Parma is a fantastic city with a lot to see. We would definitely stay with Patrizia... More

We absolutely loved Parma, mainly due to our accommodation. Patrizia is warm, friendly and is full of great 'to do' ideas. She understood what we were after (staying clear of touristy sites/attractions) and as a result, we had some of the most amazing meals and experiences in Parma, when compared to our 3 week trip in Italy. The B&B is... More

We've fallen in love with Parma thanks to our wonderful host Patrizia. Al Battistero d'Oro is clean and gorgeous, warmly and tastefully decorated with antique furniture, artwork and smartly designed to provide for the comforts of travelers. The true charms of this little B&B are brought to life by Patrizia's perfect hospitality. She speaks English very well and is always... More

Many tourists do the conventional Rome-Florence-Venice "run", but never take the time to visit Parma (nor Siena, for that matter), a delightful and not tourist-bulging city like the others. When you include Parma on your trip, run, do not walk, to the "Battistero dÓro" B&B. Unfortunately, it is a small, elegant 200+ year old, totally restored home, consisting of 2... More
