Villino di Porporano is a villa, the facilities provide amazing experience of real Italian vacations. We really felt home. because of the cosy atmosphere, cutest ever room decoration and especially, the way personnel treats you. The villa is situated outside Parma, so it is just great to enjoy fresh air and country side. It has a lovely garden and beautiful... More

What can I say that has not been said. Just lovely with the most wonderful hosts. Staying here feels like staying with chic friends in Italy. Rooms are charming and well appointed and breakfast is divine. Elena and Giuseppe could not have been and nice to us and our family. Run don't walk

Arrival - the only hiccup in our stay was upon arrival. It took a little while for someone to answer the door (5 mins) but after that we were lead up to our rooms by Elena's son. Elena checked in with us when she returned but unfortunately we had already left again :) Room - nothing short of amazing. Lovely... More

Just like the title...Simply Unforgettable. It is so hard to find such a beautiful places, that, when you find one of them, it will be always part of your memories. Everything was so perfect: the hospitality, the room, breakfast and food in general...and then that absolutely wonderful capacity of the host to make of the guest the most lucky person... More

Elena the owner was helpful in planning our stay and gracious. It is elegantly furnished and bright and airy in the common areas as well as the rooms. Breakfast was a real treat several homemade goodies: cookies, cakes, bread and pastries. Plus eggs cooked perfectly to order. The bed was very comfortable made up with wonderful linens. The bathroom had a... More

We will never forget our stay at this beautiful B&B. It was love at first sight! We couldn’t believe how cozy the whole building was and how nice the owners were. The room was so romantic and comfortable. We decided to have a dinner in the restaurant near by and the owners even drove us there and came to pick... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Villino di Porporano for a relaxing stay in the Parma area. Elena was a wonderful host and most helpful in arranging restaurant bookings for great dining experiences close to the villa. Beautiful surroundings and location.

After having no luck finding a decent hotel in Parma center, we were lucky enough to come across this little gem. We spent three nights here and loved it. Every detail from the beautiful decor to the delicious breakfast with fresh juice and the best capuccino I've had in Italy, was wonderful. Although it's a few kilometres outside of Parma,... More

Elena and Giuseppe are passionate about what they do and this is evident as soon as you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble and they truly want you to have a wonderful time in their beautiful home. Relaxed and informal but decorated to a very high standard and very comfortable. We will definitely be going back.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Just a few kilometres from the centre of Parma, in the small, homely village of Porporano, a young couple devised and organised this place of delightful rest. Next to the main villa, in the garden grounds, springs an old rural cottage, built in solid stone brick with a hayloft above. This simple country site has been transformed into a charming cottage for guests; 5 rooms with en suite bathroom, communal area, a large kitchen, spacious veranda protected by glass which separates it from the enchanting green. Keeping the atmosphere of times gone by with its rough walls spaced out with blocks of pebble stone in place of bricks and the dimension of the hayloft which still astonishes those who enter; the rooms where the rough wooden floor gives harmony to the colours. The owners have furnished each room carefully and with passion: with iron headboards and delicately embroidered curtains and tapestry in thick linen, once forgotten in an old trunk. The cottage of Porporano, a place where hospitality is not only a profession but a style of life. ... more   less
