The main trump of this hotel is obviously its location: only 100m away from the piazza grande with the duomo. So, plenty of restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood (check whether they're not closed when you're visiting Modena mid-August). What was also important for me was the garage. The hotel has a small, covered and secured parking almost adjacent to the... More

My wife and I stayed from 30 June to 3 July and what a wonderful time we had. The hotel is in the center and very close to excellent restaurants. This is not a fancy hotel but the service and hospitality was brilliant. We had a very good breakfast every morning for only 3 euro per person! Our room was... More

We were traveling through the Veneto region during a heat wave by moto and needed a stop for a few days that did not require us to use the moto to get around so we picked Modena to enjoy the Ferrari and Puccini Land Tour. This hotel was the perfect choice for our needs. Pros: Secure garage parking with cameras... More

In the middle of Modena, easy to find with the signs on the streets, very friendly staff, Closed garage which was very important for me, as I travel with motorcycle. Internet, not the fastest I used, small room.

I stayed at the Liberta for several nights while attending a conference in Modena. The central location is absolutely ideal. Each member of staff that I dealt with throughout the week including all members of housekeeping, reception, and breakfast service were all very friendly and kind. This was greatly appreciated. Lida at the reception desk was also very helpful when... More

My wife was hospitalized four days before we were scheduled to go to Italy, so we were forced to postpone our vacation. Unfortunately, we had purchased "nonrefundable" hotel stays at three hotels through a major travel site. Hotel Liberta went above and beyond to assist us by providing credit (to be used within a few months) for our future stay.... More

Spent 3 days in single-room It located center of Modena. Hotel looks old or antique, but inside is clean and neat. Elevator is small, but operates well. The single Room was small. There is shower booth, but no bath tub. It was very clean, and quiet during night. Morning buffet was provided in my case, which was good.

Liberta is really all about the location; probably the most central hotel in Modena, every single sight in the city is within comfortable walking distance. Driving to the hotel is equally difficult, but once you've found it, the hotel offers great parking fascilities. (for a fee, though, and remember to book garage in advance!) The hotel is clean and simple,... More

True to form, we had some difficulty in finding this hotel but once we did it was a very positive experience. Once again we found that being in the center of the historical part of the city is worth the effort to find the hotel. The parking garage was a great bonus, a lift is always appreciated and the breakfast... More

My wife and I checked in on a wet and miserable night in Modena. Comically we managed to lock ourselves out of the hotel with the Receptionist while putting our car in the garage. The décor of the hotel and bedroom is functional 3*. However, the location is excellent and the staff were lovely. I would recommend.
