My wife was hospitalized four days before we were scheduled to go to Italy, so we were forced to postpone our vacation. Unfortunately, we had purchased "nonrefundable" hotel stays at three hotels through a major travel site. Hotel Liberta went above and beyond to assist us by providing credit (to be used within a few months) for our future stay.... More

Spent 3 days in single-room It located center of Modena. Hotel looks old or antique, but inside is clean and neat. Elevator is small, but operates well. The single Room was small. There is shower booth, but no bath tub. It was very clean, and quiet during night. Morning buffet was provided in my case, which was good.

Liberta is really all about the location; probably the most central hotel in Modena, every single sight in the city is within comfortable walking distance. Driving to the hotel is equally difficult, but once you've found it, the hotel offers great parking fascilities. (for a fee, though, and remember to book garage in advance!) The hotel is clean and simple,... More

True to form, we had some difficulty in finding this hotel but once we did it was a very positive experience. Once again we found that being in the center of the historical part of the city is worth the effort to find the hotel. The parking garage was a great bonus, a lift is always appreciated and the breakfast... More

My wife and I checked in on a wet and miserable night in Modena. Comically we managed to lock ourselves out of the hotel with the Receptionist while putting our car in the garage. The décor of the hotel and bedroom is functional 3*. However, the location is excellent and the staff were lovely. I would recommend.

We were visiting Modena mainly for the car related museums. When I initially chose the Best Western I didn't hold high expectations as I had stayed with them in the UK - my experience in Modena completely changed my view. The staff were fabulous - very welcoming and excellent customer service. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. It... More

Given our past experiences with Best Western in Italy we try to stay at this chain when possible. We were not disappointed. From check-in when two hotel staff ran out to greet us on the road. Perhaps it was because we were going the wrong way down a one way street. Who knew as there were no markings. Nevertheless the... More

Yes, staff is very friendly, rates modest and location very good, but... Their internet access does not allow contact with several email providers, trip advisor, booking com, etc. Thus, a poor choice for anyone depending on net access for work or further travel planning.

We stayed here in a trip through Modena to see Enzi Ferrari's house and the Maserati exhibit. Friendly staff that gave us two adjoining rooms once they saw we had kids traveling with us, If you want to stay in the center of town and don't want to spend a lot this is s great choice. Not a large hotel... More

Travelled last week to this hotel on business. The hotel was very clean, friendly and well run with really great staff. I was on the top floor and had a large comfortable room with all that you would need. Breakfast was tasty and typically continental with nice service and great coffee. The hotel is centrally located allowing you really enjoy... More
