This had to be the best value for money hotel that we have ever stayed in. For euro 28 a night we received afriendly reception, spacious room, received a nice breakfast and free parking. Staff were really friendly and helpful and it had a great feel. The location was great and there was an irish pub close by. While we... More

Hotel is very run down but it was clean, the staff were reasonably friendly and for what we paid we couldn't really complain, though it did take a long time to check in due to them losing our reservation. The breakfast area only had 2 tables so you may have to wait to be seated. As others have mentioned there... More

We originally wanted to stay for two nights in Bologna but found the hotel prices there incredibly expensive. So, we chose to stay in Modena instead, a very pretty town in itself and less than 30 minutes by train from Bologna, with very frequent and reliable connections. The hotel is a bit far from Modena railway station (a good 30... More

Free wifi, a clean & spacious room and breakfast included! Nothing fancy, but a nice atmosphere, conveniently located with plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. I wish we had stayed there longer & will definitely go back to see more of Modena and stay in HSG again! We even had interconnecting rooms with a shared bathroom so... More

We are heading off to sample Balsamic vinegar just this afternoon. The hotel is very clean, easy to find and the price is right. Very hospitable inn keeper, shared bath OK and a quiet night was had by all. A very cozy choice. There is free parking and an adequate breakfast. Try it!! the elevator makes it easy to take... More

Arriving at this Hotel was like coming home and putting on my favourite and very comfortable track suit. It is just outside the central medieval part of town but it is an easy walk. The lower front of the building is an excellent restaurant where we had 2 wonderful meals. The hotel is a house built in the early 20th... More

[+] We travelled around Emilia-Romagna during our Easter holidays and the first stop was in Modena. We had a family room at the hotel and it includes 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The unusual thing is that the bedrooms have sinks but it was convenient. It was one of the biggest rooms in the hotel and is perfectly fine for... More

I spent here 3 quiet nights. It has parking garage, free wi-fi, breakfast and it's very close to the city center (about 5 minutes walk). The hotel is family run and the staff is very friendly. The basic structure is a bit old and this is noticeable in the bathrooms, which were always well cleaned. My bedroom was really spacious... More

The good: close to the center, breakfast was ok The bad: No wifi, parking is a joke (nearly nonexistent), very small elevator, no air conditioning, just a noisy fan that looked like it could fall off anytime, dirty (with spiderwebs in the corners of the room), dirty bathroom, all is fatigued and needs renovation, they also lost my reservation, luckily...
