The hotel is located in the Northern part of Bologna city centre. Within a 15mn walk, you can reach the Piazza Maggiore. It is very nice to walk under the Arcades to join the museums and cathedral. The room we were provided with had a view on the park (which abided by our requirement); it was quiet, middle-sized, the bathroom... More

We stayed for 3 nights, we made the reservation from booking.com. we reserved 4 standard double rooms. a day prior our arrival, Hotel took provision from my credit card for all 4 rooms without any warning. Standard rooms are way too small for two people and the beds are French bad style. If you are staying with a friend like... More

Stayed at the I Portici Hotel over Christmas and enjoyed it very much. Staff where very helpful recommending trips and restaurants. Nothing was too much for all the staff, especially Irene and Federico who deserve a special mention. Would certainly stay here again. Declan from Poole England

What looks like a modernbhotel from the outside is in reality the restored/rebuilded former palazzo of the pope when he had his residence in Bologna. The dining room is a former theater and the cellar the former ice cellar, which was filled with ice during the winter and kept the storage cool during the hot summer. The rooms are individual... Every now and then there is a hotel that just seems to get things right. I Portici is located along a main street near the Bologna train station. It is surrounded by very old historic buildings so we were pleasantly surprised when we entered to find a bright clean modern contemporary lobby and a welcoming professional staff. Check-in was a... My husband and I stayed here for one night over the Christmas holidays. The hotel is in an excellent location just outside the centro storico. There is on-site parking (for a fee). We booked a last minute stay and found a deluxe room for a great value. The room was smallish, but everything was clean and modern with nice design... More

This is a modern hotel in a good location in a beautiful city. Main let down is the range of rooms which vary quite a lot and make it a bit hit and miss. I returned as I stayed before in a great room, but was disappointed upon my return. It you get a good room it is worth the... More

A very comfortable hotel near the train station (but close to the centre as well). Very polite and friendly staff, modern and comfortable rooms (it may look like a 'historic' hotel from the outside but the interior is contemporary) and surprisingly good value. Free and fast internet connection. I don't think I will be looking anywhere else when next time... More

The hotel is centrally located, modern and well kept. The staff were very thorough and attentive at check in and check out. My only complaint is that our room was very loud, situated over the restaurant/club. We could hear chairs dragging across the floor and music. Televisions and furniture in other rooms on our floor could also be heard. As... More

Excellent Location, Very comfortable rooms, extremely helpful staff. We stayed for five nights while on business in Bologna and were extremely satisfied. The building is quite modern, apparently extensively reconditioned. The bed was a little soft for our taste but the room was otherwise excellent. The location was in easy walking distance of the railroad station and large parts of... More
