Excellent Location, Very comfortable rooms, extremely helpful staff. We stayed for five nights while on business in Bologna and were extremely satisfied. The building is quite modern, apparently extensively reconditioned. The bed was a little soft for our taste but the room was otherwise excellent. The location was in easy walking distance of the railroad station and large parts of... More

We stayed there for 2 nights. First impression is really good: the building is beautiful and the lobby is very modern with some pieces of art. We booked a superior room... and we were dissappointed. The room (no. 211) different than showed at the pictures, was smaller than expected and, first and foremost, windows were covered all the time (with... More

I stayed here after visiting Rome by train and the location was convenient from the station. The restaurant and the staff were very nice. I enjoyed the stylish room setting and the bright modern lobby.

We have visited this hotel during November 2013, during our second anniversary celebrations. We stayed there 4 nights, room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, hotel is very close to Bologna centrale. Every weekend they arrange a piano night, which was good. But breakfast was not that good, it didn't include that variety of types, and includes... More

Stayed there due to business. In general, everything you usually look in a hotel was above average, or much better than average (big rooms, very clean, helpful employees, good breakfast). The reason why I give 3 stars is because of the noise. My room was close to the reception, and I was able to hear the reception's wireless phone constantly... More

We stayed here for 3 nights for our first visit to Bologna We booked a deluxeroom in a quiet part of the hotel. Because we tought we would receive a art nouveau style room we were surprised to see a modern room..we had a possibilty to change if we were not sattisfied but at the end we decided to stay... More

We visited Bologna as part of a tour of Northern Italy and although we arrived on a Sunday the town was buzzing. The Hotel was really lovely and we were upgraded to a very nice room with a lovely large stone balcony at the rear of the hotel. We had drinks before going out to dinner on the most lovely... More

My boyfriend and I traveled to Bologna part during a Euro trip in September. I booked this hotel based on all the positive reviews and I Porticia was rated one of the top hotels in Bologna. My expectations may have been too high because to me this was an average hotel. We stayed in a classic double room with views... More

We knew this hotel was supposed to be well-located, but honestly, it's close to everything and beautiful besides! The Terrazzo bar backs up to a small, round park with an elevated, lovely walkway, very well lit with lamps! Our room was modern and comfortable, I liked the universal adaptor for my phone, didn't have to scramble for the adaptor plug!... More

Excellent location within 10mins stroll of the city centre. It is also situated in walking distance to the train station which is excellent if you want to see different parts of Italy. We went to Florence for the day. (€18 return 2nd class). Hotel staff were always professional and helpful during our stay. It was a nice touch they showed... More
