We stayed here for 3 nights for our first visit to Bologna We booked a deluxeroom in a quiet part of the hotel. Because we tought we would receive a art nouveau style room we were surprised to see a modern room..we had a possibilty to change if we were not sattisfied but at the end we decided to stay... More

We visited Bologna as part of a tour of Northern Italy and although we arrived on a Sunday the town was buzzing. The Hotel was really lovely and we were upgraded to a very nice room with a lovely large stone balcony at the rear of the hotel. We had drinks before going out to dinner on the most lovely... More

My boyfriend and I traveled to Bologna part during a Euro trip in September. I booked this hotel based on all the positive reviews and I Porticia was rated one of the top hotels in Bologna. My expectations may have been too high because to me this was an average hotel. We stayed in a classic double room with views... More

We knew this hotel was supposed to be well-located, but honestly, it's close to everything and beautiful besides! The Terrazzo bar backs up to a small, round park with an elevated, lovely walkway, very well lit with lamps! Our room was modern and comfortable, I liked the universal adaptor for my phone, didn't have to scramble for the adaptor plug!... More

Excellent location within 10mins stroll of the city centre. It is also situated in walking distance to the train station which is excellent if you want to see different parts of Italy. We went to Florence for the day. (€18 return 2nd class). Hotel staff were always professional and helpful during our stay. It was a nice touch they showed... More

We chosed this hotel because of its location - not too far away from train station/airport bus and still on the mainstreet Independenzia. Close to shops, restaurants and major sightseeing spots. It did not dissappoint - location was perfect!! Our first impression of the the hote was the sort of "soul-less" very white and minimalistic lobby/reception. The front desk staff,... More

We stayed here overnight on our way home from the Conero district of Italy. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the station from where you can get the airport bus (shuttle service every 12 minutes). The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable - the TV has lots of channels from various countries and... More

We selected this hotel on your web site. We were not disappointed. The room was big and spotless. The welcoming staff was cordial and very helpful. The carpark was convenient. We ate a fancy dinner in the hotel one night, and the brunch was lavish. (Restaurant review is separate)

Excellent hotel within the portico area of Bologna, ten minutes walk from the mainline station and close to all of the places of interest. Considerate, attentive and considerate staff full of ideas of where to eat and buildings of interest. Lovely spacious rooms and range of restaurants and bars within easy walk.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2014

This hotel is supposed to be in the top 5 hotels in Bologna, and I would rate it good value for money. It is a 4 star boutique hotel – modern facilities and with classy interiors managing to keep the historic “feel” of the original building and architecture with quite a minimalist interior design. I had a confirmed prepaid booking... More
