Think that's the fairest title I can give it, to be honest. I booked a single room and got given a single room with a single size bed in it. The one and only hotel within my stay in Italy this February that has done that. All other places have provided me with differing room sizes but a double bed... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in October 2013. Whilst the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was very basic with strange configuration of bathroom and bedroom. Best part was the location as it was a short walk to the main piazza and station and the cost was reasonable.

Not the best stay in an hotel; Upside: In the city Not expensive for the location Downside: Air conditioning didn't work properly Parking would have been free but weren't informed, added cost of 20 euros

It´s a rare hotel: its staff is gentle and simpathetic! It´s not common in Italy! They smile! It has free internet point, what helped me a lot, it´s in the middle of many shops and restaurants, 10 minutes walking to Piazza Maggiore, and 10 minutes from Railway Station. My bedroom was small but in a confortable size, facing the street.... More

I only stayed one night, in a single room, everything was fine without being special. The room was small but clean and adequate. Although my room faced the main street, the double double glazing meant I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was basic, but again adequate. The staff were helpful. It is not a luxurious hotel, but the... More

I was torn whether to give this hotel a poor or fair. It was clean, decent size, bed ok, breakfast ok, nice people but the air conditioning was useless and I was miserable. We chose this hotel specifically because it advertised air conditioning.

I was booked into the Donatella as I was a late addition to the business trip. The rest of the party stayed elsewhere. I found the Donatella basic but friendly - they didn't laugh too much at my Italian and they were helpful. The room was clean, and being at the rear of the hotel was quiet, but with no... More

I recommend this hotel for business travelers, as it is in such a fantastic location and the staff is very helpful and friendly. But do not expect atmosphere or luxury in any way. The rooms are very basic, and my twin-sized bed was acceptable, but not hugely comfortable.

We stayyed for 2 nights at hotel Donatello with our 2 small kids, one 5 and other 3 years old and it was like a nightmare; smallest room in the world. I stayed in lots of hotels of Italy with my kids and I always booked triple room but at Donatello there was no place to move, to put your... More
