If you want to be in the heart of a great city but still feel welcome, the small friendly hotel is perfect. The staff are welcoming and happy to help. Clean and comfortable it doesn't have any of the "extras" like a gym or a bar, but who needs them when you can step out of the front door into... More

The hotel is located at the center of the Historic District and there is a lot of great shopping close by. Getting to the hotel by car was difficult at best. There is a lot of construction and many streets are closed. Even GPS navigation is unhelpful. Parking is a real problem. The recommended parkign lot is a 10 minute... More

We were persuaded by the TA reviews to stay at the Albergo Delle Drapperie for a 2 night weekend break from 3-5 July 2015. Our first impressions on walking through the main entrance were of a dated hotel in much need of attention. The receptionist ran down to carry our bag up the stairs (no lift) which was appreciated. Cons... More

I'm really sorry criticism bitter with which you describe us, although I had the pleasure to let you know the history of this hotel to try to explain the love and dedication that our staff puts into this charming guest house (perhaps fascinating own because a little 'dated), right to remedy those little structural deficiencies, that as good as we... We stayed at Albergo delle Drapperie recently because of the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The staff were fantastic, always ready to answer questions and offer advice. The location was perfect, so close to everything. Bologna is going through some major renos around the shopping precinct but when it is finished it will be fantastic. We would... More

We stayed here for three nights while taking a cooking school and food tours of the area. We found it to be small but charming and the room was sufficient for our needs. I think its major attraction though is the location. Our room looked out right on to the market with its colorful stalls and vendors. The staff was... More

The Albergo delle Drapperie is a family run hotel in the very heart of Bologna. You would be hard pressed to find a better located hotel. It sits in the mediaeval streets close to the main square. It gives easy access on foot to all the places of interest. It is a small hotel with about 20 rooms. Rooms are... More

Hotel is located in a prime location in the center of Bologna nearby the town towers and the main square. Rooms are very clean and offer the charm of looking out the window in the morning at a vegetable, flower and fish markets, Breakfast served each morning was satisfying. Most significantly, hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating and they... More

I really liked this hotel. The room was clean and nicely decorated, the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly (including the chocolate Labrador who hangs out in the lobby). The breakfast was basic and typical for Italy (continental, with no hot choices), but just fine. If you are a light sleeper (I'm not), request to have a room away from... More
