Great front desk staff, a very friendly hotel. Unique rooms, quirky, and in a great spot. Bed was average. Air con good. Didn't have breakfast as so close to cafes and restaurants. We'd definitely go back.

I spent one night at Albergo Drapperie as a solo traveller. It was in the best location, right in the heart of Bologna beside cafés, restaurants and little market stalls. The area was busy, full of character and atmosphere, just what I like. The generic shops you can find anywhere are just a 5 walk away. Camellia, the lovely Receptionist,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in mid-August, during a very hot spell in Bologna but the air-conditioning meant the room was a pleasant temperature at any time of the day. Our room looked out onto the tiny street below with market stalls and small shops and was traditional in decor. Right from the beginning all of the the staff... More

We only stayed one night in Bologna and this hotel was fantastic right in the centre of the fantastic food market and close to all the historic sites and restaurants. The staff were warm, helpful AND friendly!! The room was clean and quiet and one of the best showers we had experienced in Italy. It is a simple hotel but... More

Maybe 10-15 mins from airport bus stop and a further few mins away from train station. The location is worth it - with a local market, restaurants and shops. Service from front desk is impeccible. Only few drawbacks is that the shower needs to either be changed or cleaned thoroughly as mould and rust were gathering at corners - a... More

If you want to be in the heart of a great city but still feel welcome, the small friendly hotel is perfect. The staff are welcoming and happy to help. Clean and comfortable it doesn't have any of the "extras" like a gym or a bar, but who needs them when you can step out of the front door into... More

The hotel is located at the center of the Historic District and there is a lot of great shopping close by. Getting to the hotel by car was difficult at best. There is a lot of construction and many streets are closed. Even GPS navigation is unhelpful. Parking is a real problem. The recommended parkign lot is a 10 minute... More

We were persuaded by the TA reviews to stay at the Albergo Delle Drapperie for a 2 night weekend break from 3-5 July 2015. Our first impressions on walking through the main entrance were of a dated hotel in much need of attention. The receptionist ran down to carry our bag up the stairs (no lift) which was appreciated. Cons... More

I'm really sorry criticism bitter with which you describe us, although I had the pleasure to let you know the history of this hotel to try to explain the love and dedication that our staff puts into this charming guest house (perhaps fascinating own because a little 'dated), right to remedy those little structural deficiencies, that as good as we... We stayed at Albergo delle Drapperie recently because of the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The staff were fantastic, always ready to answer questions and offer advice. The location was perfect, so close to everything. Bologna is going through some major renos around the shopping precinct but when it is finished it will be fantastic. We would... More
