This hotel has a 4 star (Italian) rating. It would not compare to a 4 star hotel elsewhere and surprised they have this rating. Many mornings people were left stranded, waiting for breakfast, whilst other guests finished as there is not enough tables for even half the guests at the hotel, and the breakfast buffet was unimaginative and limited. This hotel is not as it appears on website! It actually consists of only two floors with very noisy apartments above. We booked a superior double for three nights and were given a very small dark characterless room on the first floor with limited storage. After 2 nights with little sleep due to overhead noise we asked to be moved... More

It's a nice enough hotel but comparatively expensive. We stayed 2 nights in a Platinum suite (53) which was spacious and clean. It only has ambient light from 4 feature lamps and so was a bit dark. You can hear the road noise but it's not too intrusive unlike the herd of elephants staying in the room above us. It's... More

If you decide on this hotel , it means you want something out of the ordinary , and you get it. Rooms are special , good design , the atmosphere is special and you simply have to enjoy it. The staff is so kind that you feel at home and ready to help in every possible way. Breakfast has to... More

We had a two night stay here and it was well worth it. The hotel is unusual being a former convent with lovely high ceilings. The room was fairly spacious with a very high ceiling and unusual lighting, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast acceptable. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the city. Although the hotel is near... More

The rooms are big and clean. It is beautifully restored. You are not able to have dinner at the hotel, but you are right in the center and restaurants are in walking distance. I have stayed here many times and the service is always great.

4 days, never spent that much time in a church before. But a nice stay. Very interesting place. The service is incredible. The room was - ok - superior, but not very much space. Bathroom and shower though very big and nice. Lift quite special, you only use it once, had to keep pushing button, otherwise lift would stop. Hotel... More

We wish we had more than a night in this beautiful hotel! The staff was freindly and helpful. The modern decor was perfectly placed within the historical building to provide a comfortable mix of modern and antique. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was light (in the Italian way), but good. Our only complaint was the WiFi only worked... More

My standard room in Il Convento dei Fiori di Seta was decorated in vibrant colours, fine textiles and was very comfortable, with a great wet room, helpful friendly owners and staff. A real treat to stay here.
