We stayed here for two nights in the end of August. The temperature was 36C or 97F. When we arrived we were told that the Air Conditioning was broken and they had no idea when it would be repaired. We never did see anyone trying to repair it and heard the front desk telling new guests to expect the A/C...

We spent one night at the Locanda Solarola before travelling on in Italy. It's a perfect stopover if you have a flight arriving early evening to Bologna, although outside the city, it took less than 30 minutes to make the trip out to Castel Guelfo.

Locanda Solarola is a beautifully appointed Inn with a first-rate restaurant. Each room, public or private, has been lovingly designed to provide comfort and eye-appeal and the surrounding grounds support your sense of being in a gracious and welcoming home.
