The hotel is of a good standard. Our room was spacious with flat screen tv, limited channels in english but we only put it on to catch up with news & sport so not really a problem. A small fridge but ample space to keep water cool. In room safe which is always a plus. The bathroom was large and... more

Nearly everything about this hotel is perfect, rooms clean, great breakfast and free wireless. The only drawback is the location. Its a good 5-6km outside of bologna so walking to and from it is not an option. But the bus stops just outside the hotel, it goes every 15mins and costs €1 and drops you right into heart of the... more

We were conveniently able to book to stay here at short notice on the day of our arrival. Our room was very spacious complete with sink/mirror, hairdryer, t.v facility and complimentary sweets. Good breakfast and free internet available on the computer downstairs. Nice posh amicable hotel at a very reasonable price. more

A group of us stayed here recently. We chose the hotel on the basis of the price and the fact that the other reviews suggested that the bus stopped right outside. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. Those of us who booked single rooms got spacious twin rooms, which was great. The breakfast is buffet style and includes cereals,... more

Like other reviewers commented, the Imperial Hotel is indeed not very central but public transport in Bologna is quite good and cheap as well. There are busses running to and from the hotel from early morning until midnight every 10 to 15 minutes. The bus (25) ends and starts at the hotel and takes 20 to 30 minutes to the... more

The Hotel Imperial is a farily nice hotel; clean, nice rooms with excellent air conditioning and large bathrooms, satellite TV (with English), refrigerator, and a nice breakfast buffet. The bus stop is right there (it's the end of the line so it takes a while to get into town). Problem is, the hotel is difficult to find off the main... more

We were very impressed with this hotel. It looks completely new and was spotless. Bedroom was very comfortable and bathroom was immaculate. We had the use of a fridge. Breakfast was excellent in attractive surroundings. Air conditioning was good. But the bedroom decoration was a bit naff considering it looked new. It was all dark wood panneling. The hotel has... more

Just returned from a 6night stay at this hotel. It's good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast very good. On New Year's Day breakfast was later then normal but as we went down earlier the staff did their best to prepare breakfast for us. The hotel is a bit far out of Bologna centre... more

This hotel is great value for money. Had all the feel of a luxury hotel for a fraction of the cost. Breakfast selection was very good indeed, staff were always friendly and helpful. The bedroom had everything you would need and the bathroom even had a whirlpool bath which was a nice way to relax after a hard days sight... more

This is was an excellent hotel. I am not even sure why it was only 3 stars other than they didn't have a restaurant on-site. The staff was very nice and helpful and spoke good English, and the breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we end up having in Italy. We arrived very early because we came by night train... more
