If you are visiting Bologna then you must stay here at Casa della zia. My room was very spacious, clean and even had a little balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the shower powerful and it was lovely and quiet. Marinella at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly and her English was perfect. You are right in the... Casa Della Zia means Aunties house and all that this entails! Whilst being humourously Fawty Towers like the reality is that there are many much beter places to stay and you should select one of these over Aunties House. The pictures and description were alarmingly inaccurate and the prices for 2 nights was over 500 Euros, a rip off of... More

Dear Andrew, Thank you for sharing your experience with other travelers. Bologna is the city of Fair Trades, specially in September - October, in March - April. That's why the prices are elevated all over the city. Compare to other B&Bs our rates were very adequate. Casa della Zia is located in the historical building of the XVI century and... More

We only spent one night at Casa della Zia, but it was very pleasant. Olga was very warm and welcoming, took time to show us a map of Bologna that featured highlights of the city, and invited us out for a language exchange gathering at a local pub (which we attended). The only problem we had was when we got... More

The room we had was large, comfortable and the hotel had nice pictures and antiques. It has free wifi. The location was great about 10min walk to Plaza Maggiore. Staff were friendly on arrival and provided good information but there is no one on site and no one around first thing in the morning. There was a kitchen where you... More
