Im mystified by some of the reviews on this hotel. Stayed here for one night (mercifully!). Looks awful from the outside and very dated on the inside. All staff were very welcoming and friendly, right from our arrival by car at the garage. Rooms were clean and provided all the facilities we required. Beds were comfortable and the linen very good. This is a very nice if slightly old fashioned hotel - no complaints with the accommodation or staff - breakfast was adequate - seems to be a shortage of bread. This hotel is fine - clean and warm with quite large rooms although as they have an almost amusing faux-wood panelling covering almost every surface they're not super comfortable or luxurious. Being about a 20 minute walk from the town centre and about a 25 minute walk from the main train station, I would not really recommend it for tourists... more
