I have just come back from a little break in Bologna. The Hotel Cavour is a wonderful place to stay in a brilliant central location. Set back from the main Via Dell'Indipendenza, which was great for a quiet night's sleep in a busy city but perfectly situated within two minutes walk of the city centre and ten-fifteen minutes walk to... The hotel is a short taxi ride from the railway station in the heart of an historic city. We were given a very large room in the older section, which was oddly shaped: a large empty area upon entry, with twin beds off to one side on a slightly elevated platform. The beds were comfortable but nocturnal trips to the... More

Very well run hotel right in the middle of the city, near all the sights. Helpful, English speaking staff. Clean, modern, quiet rooms and a good breakfast. Located in a small side street off the main street, might be difficult to access if arriving by car.

We stayed one night in Bologna while we waited for our apartment to be available. The apartment was high quality, clean, functional. The receptionist was particularly attentive - very helpful - and seemed to work very long hours. She was their best asset. One quirk about our room: As soon as you walked into the room, there was a significant... More

Just off the Via Independenzia (and close to the airport bus stop), on Via Goita, this little hotel is charming and close to the Piazza Maggiore but far enough away to be isolated from the city noice. Very clean, including the shower. Well kept, crispy white bedding and towels. Staff is very friendly and helpful.Internet connection is free and availabl... More

We stayed one night in this hotel as we were meeting a friend in Bologna for the day. Our room was spacious, but everything is very old. The shower was 2 feet x 2 feet and the drain kept clogging up. I had to constantly turn the water on and off so as not to flood the bathroom. It was... More

Just off the Via Independenzia on Via Goita, this little hotel is charming and close to the Piazza Maggiore but far enough away to seem isolated. It is a 20 min walk to the train station and if you are under the porticos the going is smooth until you get near the station and the stones are a little bumpy... More

I'd very h appily return here. Stayed for seven days, the staff were very welcoming and a problem with hot water was attended to promptly and cheerfully.Quiet room over looking the central courtyard and the station was only ten minutes walk away. Piazza Maggiore ten minutes stroll.

It took a while to find this hotel, as it was in the centre of town and down an alley way. The hotel was very clean, and our room was quite big & spacious. We couldn't check in until after 2pm. We were allowed to leave our luggage in their store room and wonder around the city until we could... More

A highly renovated place to stay if you want to be closer to the action than anywhere else. Decorating is a little overdone for me but my wife likes it. It's like we were the first people to stay here. Very clean. Great breakfast. Very helpful attentive staff. Stay here for the Location, it's hard to beat
