We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights and toured the cities around Bologna, which is a fantastic city in itself-beautiful, interesting, lively in the daytime and at night and with great food-it does have a lot to offer. The hotel is only a few minutes from the Piazza Magoire and within easy walking distance from all the tourist attractions.... More

A charming little hotel! Our standard room had the most beautiful bathroom with blue majolica tiles, ranking higher than many 5-star hotel bathrooms! Also a fantastic breakfast including a slice of delicious chocolate cake! Central historic location for a passagiata...

This is a really great hotel to see the sights of Bologna. Just off the main shopping street and very close to the main square and towers. Staff are always smiling and helpful. Rooms are big and comfortable, quiet at night, great bathroom. Breakfast is great very good service. Cannot say enough about the place.

Large, clean rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is a few steps away from one of the main streets leading to Piazza Maggiore, but you wouldn't know it. The main road (Via Della Independenzia?) is frequently closed to vehicle traffic anyway, so you'd never know you were in the heart of the old city. Breakfast is varied and substantial... More

The Cavour is located centrally amongst the shops and restaurants just 5 minutes walk from the Piazza Maggiore. Access by car is difficult and I would not recommend this hotel if you have a car. The one way narrow streets are a maze and you have to remember to get the hotel to register you vehicle number with the authorities... More

Location : perfect, 5 minutes walk to the Piazza Maggiore, all tourist attractions within walking distance. Room : we had a superior room, very satisfied about everything. Breakfast : basic, what you can expect from a 3* hotel. Only problem, when too many people come at the same time, the girl who has to do everything .... problems !!! Reception... More

Beautifully kept, spotlessly clean city centre hotel in a quiet side street. The only negative was the infuriatingly poor wi fi which meant we had to sit in reception to get a connection. Otherwise, a very lovely place to stay for a few days with friendly, helpful staff and nice breakfast service.

We stayed in the newer part of the hotel and were very satisfied with the breakfast, cleaniness and service given by the reception. Staff very helpful and friendly and were always at hand to suggest places to visit and recommend restaurants. Hotel very centrally located and is within walking distance of Piazza Maggiore, Via dell Indipendenza ( main shopping area)... More

We stayed 5 nights and chose it based on booking.com reviews. Excellent choice, you are really in the center, just behind main shopping street, few minutes away from the historical square. Hotel breakfast also very nice and delicious coffee. We loved our big room in the 3rd floor, it was very nice to have some space around you. If I... More

If you are looking for a good hotel with everything within walking distance, the hotel cavour is the place to be. We stayed in room 82 (in fact a triple room) with the 2 of us, very large room. In the weeknd you hear some noise from the street (Bologna is a student-town!)
