Great place to stay! I was in Italy to study abroad so I went all over the country and Hotel Cavour was one of the best places I stayed. My friend and I came in with no reservation and we got a very large two bed room for 40 euro each per night, basically the going rate for every hotel of the type we tried in Bologna. The room was quiet, clean, large and had a very large bathroom by Italian standards. I loved the location, Bologna is a fairly compact city but this hotel is on a quiet street but still very happening. We walked just down the street/alleyway that Hotel Cavour is on and found two of our favorite spots in Bologna! Walking distance to the main piazza and all the big spots. I highly recommend this hotel. Mind you the caretakers of the hotel are a little older but extremely accommodating to tourists. We are young college students and came in at about 4am but they were still happy to let us in. My only complaint is that the great people at the front desk called us twice... more
