Stayed for five nights at San Giorgio. All members of the staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was nice as well, but the room could use some improvement. Very boring with a tv just under the roof (which actually didn't matter since only italian channels available...). Also lots of air-condition-like noise which I tried to outdo by... more

For a two-star, the hotel is actually quite nice -- it offers clean, small rooms, with simple amenities and a modest, tasty breakfast. I was initially impressed. However, the details leave something to be desired: on my recent stay, my first room's external doorknob broke off as I entered. No big deal, these things happen. The night receptionist couldn't fix... more

My husband and I recently visited Bologna for a short side trip and arrived without hotel reservations. We ended up at the San Georgio hotel, which although listed as "2-star" was a great hotel! The room was large and spotlessly clean, the furniture and linens looked and felt brand new and we had a great view of the two towers.... more
