This hotel was great! Quaint, charming, quiet and gorgeous grounds made for a lovely stay while visiting Bologna. We lucked out and found a price through some trip advisor related promotion that was actually cheaper than their own listed prices.. By about 25 euro a night, so that was a bonus. But all things being equal, I would have paid... More

Porta San Mamolo boasts many features for the solo traveler all equally charming. The decor is light and fun while being elegant and homey. The mini-bar comes stocked with just the sort of refreshments and snacks that could be helpful - orange juice, pringles, soda, and prosecco. If you are looking something more intimate, the size is great too. You... More

Located on the edge of the old city but an easy 10 mins walk to the centre. Rooms were reasonably sized, nice and clean but decor and furnishings were a little tired. Breakfast was really good in a lovely garden setting and excellent service from the staff. Good restaurant recommendations from the receptionist - we tried Al Sangiovese (almost next... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. The hotel came as part of a package with BA flights. I emailed the hotel in advance (to advise them of our arrival time and to ask them to book a nearby restaurant for our first evening) and received a prompt reply. We took a taxi from the airport (no queues). This... More

We have just spent four nights here and I am pleased we chose this hotel, mainly based on previous reviews on tripadvisor. I can only endorse all the positive reviews the hotel has received. It is in a quiet location only 10 minutes walk from the centre. There are restaurants very close by. The breakfast was ample and the rooms... More

10 minute easy walk to the middle of town. Rooms clean and well appointed. Staff great. Breakfast in a lovely garden. Well priced. Would definitely stay here again if I every return to Bologna. Highly recommended. All the positive reviews on this site are correct.

A delightful hotel located in a quiet backstreet within easy walking distance of the historic centre of the city. Our room was spacious and had air conditioning which was a godsend as the temperature reached 35 degrees c while we were in the city. The hotel has a beautiful garden where breakfast is served. Breakfast was very good with a... More

As we were staying a week I had emailed to ask for a decent sized room and this is exactly what we got, so after two train journeys from Genoa we arrived hot and tired and where warmly greeted and shown to our lovely room. so I immediately relaxed and cases delivered to the room. The hotel is charming with... More

We got to the hotel by the aerobus from the airport and the no33 to within a few yards of the hotel The narrow street and entrance were attractive and although we were a bit early, we were warmly welcomed by Roberto and shown to our room. This was beautiful! It was a large, well decorated room with a big... More
