This hotel is way above its 3 star billing. It is elegant, if a bit seedy, and beautifully situated. And, it even has PARKING! The restaurant is better than a hotel restaurant should be, The charming manager is very helpful and generous.

Friends of mine did a spot of research to find a hotel in central Bologna and found this and I'm glad they did. The hotel is perfectly located just of Piazza Maggiore. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was rather grand and appealing. We had single rooms but they did differ in size with one... More

This hotel is superbly located, in a narrow street just off the main square. The staff are friendly and the facilities are clean, but in urgent need of renovation. The decor does not seem to have been updated in 20 years. My single room had a decent size (tiny twin bed, though), but was honestly quite ugly. There was no... More

After being moved from room 312 (where I was first assigned: I refused it, as it looked like a storage room) to room 116 (a little better but still poor conditions - see pictures) I tried to get some rest on the old metal-wire-spring single bed and wore mattress in a tiny disadorned and dust-smelly room, too noisy to open... Very nice, simple hotel in fantastic location in Bologna. Staff could not be nicer. There is a fee for car parking but they take care of it for you. Room is simple but comfortable and very clean. Bathroom literally sparkles; I don't think I have ever seen such clean, shiny tile. Entered the restaurant from the street last night and... More

I stayed here on the last day of a trade show after getting screwed by Albergo Rossini (see my pending review for that dump for details on that disaster. What a bunch of crooks....but I digress). What a wonderful contrast and a lovely hotel. The Hotel Roma could not be in a better location or appear to be better managed.... More

If you are looking for a hotel in the center of Bologna it is the place to stay! The hotel is located in Piazza Maggiore right in the middle of the city. It is in the city's shopping area and beside the gelateria Grom where you should defenetly have ice cream. The hotel is clean, simple but a bit out... More

This is an excellent hotel with a highly professional and helpful staff.. The room was great as was the breakfast. The location in the pedestrian zone is great for exploring the city and there are lots of great restaurants/bars in near proximity. Finding the way there with a car was a bit difficult, however, and the next time we go... More

We spent several nights here visiting friends in Bologna. We love this city which grows on one with familiarity. This hotel is budget if 150 euros is such. The rooms are small but clean. However there is considerable noise from the street due to the location. Unfortunately the weather was just starting to warm up however as in many Italian... More
