I liked the hotel very much...great location and good service...but I woke early in the morning with red welts that itched like mad. The red welts looked suspiciously like bedbug bites, so I looked very carefully at my suitcase when I unpacked after the trip, and I found a bedbug in it. I did not see bugs in the hotel... more

Very good location for exploring central Bologna, overall facilities were fine. Very floral rooms that could do with a refit but spacious with large but basic ensuite. We were lucky enough to be on the top floor with a little terrace overlooking the city which was a bonus. Good hotel for tourists planning to enjoy Bologna, not really for honeymooners. more

We were supposed to stay 3 nights, but the hotel staff did not make us feel welcome. Lobby areas are large and somewhat elegant, but room was small. Bed was poor. Alley noise very loud. We found a hotel around the corner and moved. more

Great location, and wonderful "5-star" service. My parents and I showed up on a Fri afternoon with no reservations (in November). They set us up with a single and double adjacent rooms and very resonably priced parking. The service was fine at the Hotel Roma, but the noise from the alley below was too loud - even with earplugs. The chambermaids began cleaning adjacent rooms at 9 AM - also quite loudly. The location is perfect, however. more
