Had a great stay at Al Cappello Rosso. It's location is ideal for exploring Bologna and the staff were extremely helpful. Would highly recommend and I look forward to staying here again on future visits to Bologna.

Just booked this hotel to spend one night in Bologna for having good time and good food. Apparently the hotel was really nice, closed to Piazza Maggiore in a perfect position to visit the city. The room, at least ours, are really beautiful and clean. So everything seemed perfect... Unfortunately during the night I had been waked up many times... More

This was a great stay! We got upgraded to the Kennedy room, my parents were in another whimsically decorated room. The staff was lovely, the breakfast bountiful, the room amenities perfect and the location unbeatable.

We stayed in the top floor suite, which had plenty of space, with a sofa and 2 desks. The interior detailing and furnishings, however, seem dated and somewhat worse for wear. An update of the decor would help a lot.

This hotel is perfect for exploring the historic centre of Bologna on foot, with great access to museums, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are spotless and the staff were very professional and super attentive delivering expert service. It's the small things that make a difference - bath robes and slippers, a pillow menu to ensure you get the perfect sleep, and... More

This is so close to everything, you'd think it would be noisy, but it's not. We walked everywhere from the hotel. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel right in the heart of bologna with easy walking to all the main sites. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable well equipped rooms. Bright and funky decor, a small restaurant and breakfast room that has everything you need. Very easy as a base for exploring the centre. Can't think of anything missing from this hotel, even the bathroom products... More

It's when attention to detail is paid to the small things do you really appreciate a great stay. The hotel itself is located in the centre of everything. The space and decor in the public areas is fab. The staff were great - efficient and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean. You can tell whoever runs this hotel really cares.... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for all amenities. We had a standard double room that was very pleasant and would definitely rebook. Tea and coffee facilties in the room and easy to get milk from the bar/restaurant next to reception. Also great value.

Location was perfect -- steps away from Piazza Maggiore, right in the center of the city. The Chocolate Show was going on in the Piazza while we were staying in Bologna, so the location couldn't have been better. At first I was a bit put off by the staff, but that feeling was quickly dispelled. They could not have been... More
