Nice hotel, centrally located, with charming hall and nice rooms. Breakfast offer a good selection of pastry and cold cuts, even though I would have expected a bit more in terms of choice and quality considering the standing of the place. Bathroom detergents hidden in a drawer, never seen such a thing that turned quite unpleasant as I was on... More

We knew that this hotel was something special when we arrived. Not only did we have a friendly welcome from the receptionist but the manager came out to wish us a pleasant stay and offered any help that we needed. (He also shook hands with us and said goodbye when we left.) The hotel is a luxurious have of peace... More

We spent just one night here however the service we received in that short time was superb. The room was beautiful, comfortable and impeccably clean. However it was the staff that really made this hotel. Roberta on reception was so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her way to make sure that we were well... More

A charming hotel centrally located convienient to sites, restaurants and bars. The reception staff simply the best encountered in Italy. Reserved restaurants , seat on the fast train to Milan and printed the tickets to boot. Breakfast has plenty choice , real cappuccinos served by friendly staff. The deluxe room very comfortable with well stocked mini bar. Cocktails served in... More

This is a luxurious and comfortable hotel offering thoughtful touches like offering canapés at 6.30pm happy hour drinks. The staff are charming and helpful. We would loved to have stayed another night.

We loved our two night stay in Bologna. The hotel location was excellent, close but not a too close to all the tourist attractions. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations. Only suggestion would be to check when making a reservation for smoking or nonsmoking rooms when booking, we were given a smoking room when checking in (not... More

We come to Bologna about once a year and always stay here. Corona d'Oro has the absolute best location (a few minutes walk to the main square where movies are shown outdoors every night in the summer, next door to Bologna's best coffee shop one one side, and best place for buying coldcuts and pasta on the other, scores of... I was in Bologna for five nights from 15th July visiting a friend who had stayed at the Corona d'Oro before and recommended it to me. I was greeted warmly on my arrival and shown to what must rank as one of the most immaculate hotel rooms I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. I could find no fault... More

This is a lovely hotel, in a good central location with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed sitting in the central atrium with a drink and nibbles before going out to eat. You step off the busy streets into an oasis of calm and comfort. The rooms are a good size and the breakfast enough... More

We booked four days at this hotel as part of a British Airways Flight/Hotel deal. What a fabulous choice it was! The hotel, built in 1890 has been beautifully restored and is located just a few minutes walk away from the Piazza Maggiore, so very convenient for exploring the city and its wealth of restaurants. We paid a few pound... More
