You can't argue with the location but the hotel is tired and needs a face lift. I would consider other options including their sister hotel a few blocks away.

The hotel is next to the Piazza Maggiore, close to many great restaurants - best location in Bologna. The breakfast was very good, we had a spacious room with a small lounge and a big bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel was recommended by a local, and we were really spoilt during our 6 days there.
