The Grand Hotel Majestic is both Grand and Majestic plus is well located in the city center, walking distance to historical sites, museums, restaurants and shops. It deserves the Luxury Hotel category for its elegance in all areas of decor, service and food. We had a suite on the second floor which felt like an Italian pied-a`-terre in Bologna with... More

The Grand Hotel Majestic "Gia' Baglioni" is a luxury hotel in the heart of Bologna. Oftentimes, a hotel can win over guests by its location alone, and not have to worry about the details of the hotel itself. This is not the case here. The gia' Baglioni (a call to its name before the Majestic purchased it) is a hotel... More

The location is ideal for the Bologna city center. The hotel, a former palace, is decorated in over the top ornate fashion and the rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. The staff and service is first rate. Once again in European fashion the weather was warm but the air conditioning had not yet been put on, so one had to... More

This is a relaxed hotel and all the staff were so helpful and very friendly. The food was very good in the resturant. More

We were in Bologna in late March, between visits to Venice and Milan. Wonderful hotel, lovely city, great visit. Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful; our train travel to Milan was arranged with good cheer and great efficiency. We were upgraded to two suites and enjoyed the acres of space! The hotel is so beautiful; the warmth and... More

The Majestic is ideally located just a 2 minute walk from the Piazza Maggiorre ( the city center). The staff from the doormen to the check in counter is extremely helpful. Fabio the concierge will get you a table at almost any hour and in any restaurant. The rooms are spacious enough, elegant and well appointed though the televisions could... More

We were looking for a nice hotel that was an easy walk to the train station as we planned to take several day trips. The hotel is luxurious but very relaxed. They have old fashioned tasseled keys that one checks in at the front desk. They upgraded our room to a large roomy one. The room had fabric covered walls,... More

From the moment we pulled up outside this hotel until the moment we left it was a pleasurable experience. We were on a whirlwind long weekend 4 city leap year wedding anniversary staying in Bologna just the 1 night. We were made to feel special from the second we were greeted by the doormen, the 2 receptionists were delightful, and... More

We had never been to Bologna even though it has been recommended to us so many times because of it's status as the food capitol of Italy (there's a reason they refer to it as La Grassa). We often travel for both business and pleasure and therefore have very high standards for hotels. We spent 2 nights here after reading... More

I stayed in Bologna 19-22nd January 2012. Got a deal online where you pay for Thursday/Friday night and get the Saturday night for free. Breakfast included. Location was important for me as I was a single, female traveller so didn't want to be walking into dodgy areas after a night out. I initially got an 'upgrade' to room 404. Small,... More
