I found the room very old and the bathroom was very small. It is well located, but was not the best experience I had. The bed was not so comfortable. But if you want to be close to train station and well located to move around, it is ok. Price is ok.

I came driving from Bologna airport. I got a room on the first floor on the back side. Very noisy because of a heating system. At 2 in the morning I had had enough and asked to change room. No problem, I got a quit room on the 7th floor. People at the reception received my complaint in an friendly... More

The hotel feels decidedly neglected. So the basin in the bathroom wouldn't drain properly, the walls were scuffed and had not been redecorated, my room (236) was a bit cold and the heating switch was already set to maximum, meaning that it didn't work, the breakfast was barely adequate (the supposedly hot food was cold). On the positive side, the... More

I stayed for nine days this easter at the hotel. It's placed across the Railway station, but I had room on the backside against the garden, and it was very quiet. Large room, large bathrooom, nice view. Safe, minibar, aircondition, writing desk. Had everything I wanted.

Chose this hotel due to its nearness to the station as we were arriving by train and you can literally be in the hotel lobby 2 mins after leaving the station. There is no doubt that the hotel has been there a while and has probably been taken over by Mecure recently, so the downstairs common areas looked good, whilst... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2015

We stayed at Mercure Bologna Centro for ten days in early March. I did research on the hotel before I made the reservation, so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. As everyone else pointed out, the hotel décor is outdated. Refurbishing will definitely do it good. Aside from that, the stay was good. The reception honored... More
