The court of the Duke Federico da Montefeltro in Urbino set a standard for what it meant to be a gentleman in Europe for the coming centuries, and it still feels in the city, dominated by the grand ducal castle: it has a big-city flair a bit Milano-like, surprising for a quite small town. In any place popular with tourists,... More

This is a good quality hotel in the centre of Urbino, just a few minutes walk from the Ducal Palace, the main square, restaurants, bars, etc. The hotel is not outstanding, but my room was clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. the breakfast was average, but the hotel has the added bonus of a terrace where breakfast... More

Airco in public areas would be welcome (eg in breakfast area) but we were there in one of the hottest weeks of the year. We found that charging one euro connection charge per device for the wifi is symbolic, but rather silly. Excellent location, just 3 minutes away from Parking of market square (outside city walls) and 3 minutes from... More

The hotel is ideally situated, very close to the main square in Urbino. The room was clean and comfortable, the reception staff were very friendly. The breakfast was self service but lots of fresh food to choose from. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Urbino - it was excellent value for money.

The hotel is located very centrally. It is a 5 minute uphill walk (steps) from the main bus station (or a longer 5-10 minute walk without steps up Via Giuseppe Mazzini, past Piazza della Repubblica and then up Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi). The interior of the hotel was recently refurbished. Our rooms were in very good condition - clean and comfortable.... More

I would give this 'good' if TripAdvisor had it as we had no real complaints but weren't particularly thrilled. The location is very central and the rooms are big enough and clean. We had a lovely view over the rooftops - but it was pretty noisy on a Saturday night. Wifi wasn't free - there was a 1 euro charge... More

A typical Italian hotel in the centre of historic Urbino which is very moderately priced. We booked it only a few days ahead and so were lucky to find this gem inside the city walls and within a few minutes to the local attractions like the Ducale Palazzo. The rooms are small but clean and breakfast and free wifi are... More

In the very center of Urbino, very close to public parking. Very clean, towells are changed every day, quiet, breakfast rich enough (though the same every day). The staff was very kind, warm and very helpful. For us was the perfect choice. We (2 parents and one 8 year child) highly recommend. Denisa, Romania.

There is nothing at all that can be written about the architecture of the Hotel Italia, despite the fact that it is in the historic heart of Urbino. Nevertheless it offered perfectly comfortable and clean accommodation. The hotel is near to the lift to get to the underground car park. This is convenient. You can park directly outside the hotel... And, it's a nice, clean, comfortable, and inexpensive hotel, to boot. Helpful staff at the front desk. Pretty good breakfast buffet (but get there early before the best pastries run out (they don't get replenished). An elevator (great for the creaky-knees set). Nearby parking (one block to an elevator that descends to the bottom of the Urbino hillside where an... More
