Clean, modern hotel in center of town at the base of the palace. Breakfast was okay. Many good restaurants in easy walking distance. We didn't have parking problems but we visited in December, not high season. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a small, 3-star hotel in the historic area. My room had old, cheap furniture, and the bathroom was tiny. The common area was also small, and the breakfast room depressing. Wi-fi (charged separately) only worked in the reception area, not in the room. Maybe the hotel saw better days in the past, but now it certainly needs refurbishing.

Fantastic Hotel... smack in the center of Urbino, making it easy to visit on a tight schedule. Highly recommend it. For meals get the hotel to suggest a typical restaurant 2 minute walking distance! There are 2 Turkish doner kebab places nearby too, so you can get a sandwich to go for a 3-4 euros!

Having traveled to Italy on countless times, this purported 3 stars hotel had felt more like a 4 stars one, trust me! Upon a train ride from Ancona to Pesaro, we boarded a bus for Urbino. We did, as a matter of fact, stored our luggages at the Pesaro train station, toured Pesaro a little bit before taking the bus.... More

... when we stumbled out of the lift into the handsome arcade that leads into the centre. A few yards along, we pushed open the doors of the first hotel. Light, bright, warm, organised, the man on the desk found us a room swiftly, wiithout fuss. The room, like the hotel, was all of the above - no patina of... More

The hotel has a three star rating and taking that into account I believe it more than delivers on all counts and therefore rate it highly. It is perfectly located to ensure you can easily walk all of the old town and a bit beyond if you choose. There is secure paid parking at the bottom of the town accessible... More

We asked for a quiet room and got one at the top and back which was perfect. The room had a stunning view over the rooftops of the medieval town rising up over the hill on the opposite of the valley. The front of the hotel faces onto the Duke's Palace but the road isn't too busy. It's very central... More

This hotel is perfectly placed for enjoying and exploring Urbino. Our room was on the small side but perfectly comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was fine but could be easily improved with more daily variety. We were staying for a number of nights and the same choice every day became a tad dull! The staff were very friendly and helpful and... More

We spent one night at the Albergo Italia and it was perfect for a flying visit to explore Urbino. Perfect location a short stroll from the centre of town. Friendly staff and a comfortable room. A great breakfast for an Italian hotel. You can drive up to drop off your bags but then have to park outside the walls but... More

The court of the Duke Federico da Montefeltro in Urbino set a standard for what it meant to be a gentleman in Europe for the coming centuries, and it still feels in the city, dominated by the grand ducal castle: it has a big-city flair a bit Milano-like, surprising for a quite small town. In any place popular with tourists,... More
