Right in the centre of Urbino, which is a delightful small town, the Albergo Italia exceeded our expectations. It is a modern hotel inside an old building, with all mod cons - good bathroom, air-con, safe and mini bar. We had a fantastic large room (529) on the fifth floor, with a small balcony with amazing views of the palace,... more

As previously mentioned, Albergo Italia (called Hotel Italia on some signs) is a modern hotel in a centuries-old building. While we usually prefer older interiors, our stay here was comfortable and delightful. We (my husband, 10yo daughter and I) were in Room 529, a large double made into a triple with the addition of a cot. Because of the hilliness... more

The hotel is in an ideal location. It is clean and modern. We stayed in the cheapest room- the street side- and were warned of possible noise. We did not hear any. If not totally handicap accessible, the hotel is close. There is an elevator and no steps to get into the hotel. The only issues might be tight corners... more

We recently stayed here for 4 nights and found this hotel to be a hidden gem. Our room,310, had such a gorgeous view of the countryside we didn't want to leave the room. The hotel is in a very convenient location in the old town close to everything. The room had modern if maybe a bit austure appointments but it... more

Great location, very friendly service. The building is ancient, but the renovation inside has resulted in an extremely modern, pleasant, almost anonymous hotel. The rooms were small but comfortable. more

I can only say good words about this hotel and Urbino. Marvelous place. The hotel is at an excellent location, in the very centre, though in Urbino you can not be far from anything, it is such a small place. The medival building is fully renovated, so you can have a 500-year-old view of a window of your 21st century-comfort-room.... more

Right at the heart of the old town near the main sites and restaurants, bars etc, this is a modern and spacious hotel in the shell of an old building. Fabulous views from our room across the tiled roofs of Urbino. Our room was roomy and furnished comfortably, if not luxuriously. The separate shower and WC rooms were modern. Parking... more

The 'Italia' is a modern hotel in the centre of a picturesque and historic town of Urbino. Its worth opting for a room with a balcony and views of the palace and Duomo, and over the town for a few Euros more than the standard price. There are many bars and restaurants within easy walking. Parking is free outside the... more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and found it quiet. Rooms are the standard "Italian small" but clean and new. Great service at the front desk. Location is great (very central) and very near the elevator from the lower parking area/bus station (although the elevator was out of service during our stay). It is possible to drive in... more

The rooms in this hotel are a little modern and plastic feeling, without some of the charm you might find in other hotels in Italy. Having said that, they were clean and spacious. Also, the room had a beautiful view of the roofs of Urbino, although this was by request. The breakfast was very good. The location is excellent, a... more
