Booked this hotel judged on online pictures.seemed modern and nice.once we got there rooms and hotel was far from what was pictured.bathrooms are oldish and not great.linen is un ironed and totally wrinkled...when mentioned to staff they told me it was the material that can't be ironed and it's meant to look like this!!...a total joke.staff are friendly and the... Booked directly by phone. At my question "the price?" someone in the hotel reply with 130€ for one night and 30€/couple to use the spa. Arrived they show us the room, very fast underline only the limited view from the window. " there are another room, is a suite room, the price is 190€". Too much, we must spend only... More

Five minutes by car into the hills above Urbino with lovely views, this relaxing place takes any hassle out of exploring Urbino. We'd booked a deluxe room, we were kindly upgraded to a Garden Suite. First floor, with a second bathroom and access to a private garden with views. Ottimo, as the Italians say. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, ditto... More

Like Peter B, we arrived straight from a ferry crossing to Ancona. We didn't have a booking but were offered a room at a reduced rate with a marvellous view of the countryside outside Urbino. Staff were charming and helpful. The restaurant adjoining the hotel (under separate management and to be paid for separately) offers excellent dishes and good service.... More

we arrived at the Hotel Mamiani thanks to a great same-day deal we found online. The hotel is a short 5-min drive from the walled city of Urbino; however the breathtaking views of the valleys below more than make up for it. The staff was courteous and very helpful, and the food in the morning was delicious. The rooms were... More

We stayed at Hotel Mamiani for a week in October while exploring the historic renaissance sights of Urbino as well as the surrounding countryside by car. Ask for a room with a view: Mamiani is on a crest which looks across the sort of landscape one sees in the background of paintings by Piero della Francesca or Perugino. I had... More

We were initially allocated a room 420 on the top floor at the back at the far end. The problem was a low drumming noise from the ventilation outlets for the hotel and the restaurant which open on the wall. I asked for another room and was given a free upgrade to a front facing room on the second floor... More

I have now been several times in the hotel, alway very clean rooms, the beds are good quality and the place i quite. The restaurant ofders good fiid even for a vegetarian, friendly service. Breakfast is good, maybe a kittle more light in the breakfast room would be nice. It became my standard stay in Urbino.

This fine hotel is situated a few kilometers outside the town of Urbino, and since Urbino is such a beautiful locale best experienced in its intimacy, I regret not booking something closer to, or in, the heart of the town. Given their distance, they ought to do something more than the typical upsell of the spa (preferred to spend more... More
