You couldn't ask for a better location, right in the heart of the walled city. The room, however, was very simple and had a dorm room feel to it. They gave us a half roll of TP, so we rationed the squares. It's not a quiet place, with noise from the plaza bars at night, and you can hear other... More

Incredible value, €60 for a double room. Spacious clean room, great views over the roofs, very friendly staff, central location, great restaurant with fabulous pizzas. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Urbino.

I am currently living in this hotel for four months and I love every minute of it. The small, family run hotel is very welcoming and comfortable. The rooms may be small and basic, but it is perfectly fitting to the town of Urbino. It is centrally located, just a minute walk to the Piazza della Repubblica, and it's quietly... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on the recommendation of friends. The hotel is billed as being well located, basic and clean. It is all those things, especially well located and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although their website states that they don't serve breakfast you can get a cup of espresso in the morning... More

This was my second time in Urbino and I decided to stay the night at this albergo which is only a 3-min. walk from the heart of the city. You can also cover the main sites--including the Palazzo Ducale-- easily on foot. The celebrated oratario of San Giovanni (which you can't afford to miss) with its extraordinary fresco cycle is... We stayed here recently and we were really impressed. The hotel is in a fantastic location and its really good value for money. Don’t expect any frills – the rooms are basic, but very clean, comfortable and a fair size. The owners were really lovely and were always there if we needed anything. It’s perfect for a trip to Urbino... More

I'm usually twice a year in Urbino for work since 2005, I chose San Giovanni at first because of the low price, compared to other hotels in town and I kept staying there. It's clean, respectful and a relaxing place. No luxury. The owners seem to be a bit cold at first, but it's just appearence: if you ask for... More

25 Euros for a single without bath at this small, family-run hotel was perfectly fine for my short research trip. The bathroom was located just next door. A shower stall would be nicer than a drain the floor, but more important is the hot water. Located on the same small street as the two famous oratories which you must visit,... More
