Having recently stayed at the Terni, we thought we'd let you know what we thought. It's a very central hotel, so for that it gets a big plus. However, there were many negative points to the hotel, which meant 2 stars only. Firstly, AIR CON! There is none at the hotel. The first night was so hot, we didn't get... More

My friend & I stayed one night here in June 2011. The hotel is about 2-3 minutes walk from Rome Termini station (which I think is their best asset!). We took a room with shared washroom (the room has a sink though). Washroom is very very small. The shower area is only about 2 ft x 4 ft. Absolutely, no... More

We stayed here for our spring break. For what we paid, we could not complain much. The room was small but clean and comfortable... we loved that we had TV with the BBC news, a clean bathroom that we never had to wait for, even though we shared it with the floor... and the location, which is very convenient for... We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of a two-week trip in Italy. (We were in seven different hotels on the trip, so have many to compare to.) As other reviews suggest, the best thing about this place is the great, convenient location. Other than that, nothing very special. Reasonably clean, reasonably friendly and helpful staff (most of... The bathroom was not very clean. The toilet lid was held to the toilet by one screw. The elevator is Roman for sure - ancient Roman! But - we only had two nights in Rome before flying home from Fiumcino, and we tend to leave the hotel at 8am and sightsee all day until midnight, so since the location was... More

The hotel has an excellent location, perfect for tourists, a few steps from Termini station, from which you can easily get a bus or metro or train to/from FCO or CIA airports. Its also very near many churches. The rooms are also good value for money, clean and not too big. The hotel has an old-fashioned lift, which worked fine... More

We stayed at Hotel Termi for 3 nights, 2 once we arrived to Rome and 1 on our way back. The best thing about this hotel is its location. Less than 2 blocks from the main train terminal in Rome (this is the one you arrive from the Airport and leave to other cities from) which is also where the... More

The hotel's location is really good - close to the Termini station, not far away from almost all of the sights of the city. We arrived in the hotel approx. at 10 a.m. and they didn't let us waiting 'till 2 p.m., so we took the room immediately. The staff at the Reception is really nice and polite. When we... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
