We had a great stay at this hotel. Very nice room in a historic building (we were told it was built in the 9th century), polite and helpful staff, great location (two metro stations away from Termini). Alessya was very kind and gave us the map (because this neighborhood is not reflected on regular maps) and public transport instructions. Great... More

Posted by me on behalf of my Mom and Dad: My son booked this accommodation for three nights . We were three adults . We were very much satisfied by staying here The room was spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable to stay ..The bathroom had different units and clean. There is a common kitchen with sitting arrangements providing simple... More

The property is located in a secure, gated compound. It was in a safe neighborhood. We were given five keys, one for our room, one for the door to the hotel, one for the door to the building, and two for the gates. The hotel is near the tram and train stations. Also near the Colosseum. Our triple room was... More

The b&b served as a good base - 30 mins walk to the colosseum and a 15 min walk to the Manzoni metro line. There's a lovely restaurant over the road and a nice pizza bar round the corner too. I didn't realise that the owners do not live on site - they live in the next building block within... More

Our experience of Arco Romano Rooms was very average. Due to our flight we didn't arrive until around 2am which while we had given the owners notice of this, we got the impression that they weren't overly pleased about having to stay up to let us in. This was the first and last time we saw a single member of... More

We stayed at ARR for 5 days and had really great time! Everything inside is new and clean , you can cook and there is a great supermarket at the corner. Perhaps the location is not the closest to the centre, but the district is very nice and quiet. You can walk to Colosseo in 20 min,the metro is 5min... More

Arco Romano rooms was a very good place to stay during our recent 5 day stay in Rome. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There was minimal noise and we felt very safe. The owners were very helpful and provided us with useful maps of local supermarkets and restaurants. The breakfast was very minimalist, a self-service choice of french... More

Arco Romano rooms was perfect for our recent trip to Rome. It was a spacious room with ensuite bathroom, with a nice big window, a/c, free wireless internet and included self serve continental breakfast. Finding it is a bit tricky, but from termini station take tram 5 four stops and get off at piazza di maggiore. From there, walk through... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
