AC not working. Bathroom in need of repair, rock hard mattresses, and breakfast worse than army meals I ate in boot camp. Rated as a 4 star hotel via its website, this hotel if in the US, would be below the quality of the Comfort Inn-like hotels. The pool was in need of repair, and the service was average. There... We were only in Rome for two days and a hotel more convenient to the centre would have been better. Food was adequate, rooms clean and beds comfortable. But to spent 15,00 euros to pay every time we went in to the centre. Woman at the desk could not tells us where the closest Catholic Church was for mass on... More

We stayed at the Cardinal Hotel our first night in Rome. It is a very nice hotel, and it works well for English speaking travelers. The room was nice and clean, the bed comfortable, especially after a long flight from Chicago. The hotel has conference rooms, which we used one to meet our travel group. The hotel has a nice... Nice hotel centrally located to all the tourist sites and buses at front and on corner which were very inexpensive, convenient and punctual. Views to the Vatican and within walking distance, although a good walk. Room very nice, clean and spacious. Had to ask for extra pillows as they were so thin, but supplied immediately. Pool very good and great... More

We have recently returned from a short last minute family break in Rome. I booked the Cardinal Hotel St Peter online after searching for a hotel fairly central with an outside pool. The pictures on the website looked ok, but there were a few bad reviews on here, mainly about lack of wifi and rude staff, but we took a... More

Cardinal Hotel St. Peter is a short bus ride to the Vatican. You could take a long walk there but with all the walking you will be doing to explore Rome I'd suggest the bus as the best option to the Rome sites. The room are nice, clean and updated. Breakfast is included and it is a nice spread of... More

As a seasoned travellers and holiday goers we booked this hotel as a last minute get away for a party of 6, (2 adults, 2 teenagers & 2 kids) the deal we got was great especially as we were looking for a hotel in or near Rome with a pool. We wanted to mix up a little sightseeing with some... More

We spent 2 nights here at the end of a week long stay in Rome (the first five nights were spent in the centre of rome). Those who have marked this hotel down because of its location obviously didn't do their research - we picked this hotel specifically as it was out of the city centre. Overall we had a... More

The hotel pool was green and out of use for the duration of our stay. We were not informed of this when we booked. Advertising a pool in use is one of the reasons we chose this hotel so we were very disappointed. The rooms were nice, clean and well sized however noisy. We had a pool view but it... More

The picture of the vatican is clever photography - its a good 20 - 30 minute walk to the vatican. The hotel is of average quality - the plus point it has a pool - the minus is there are not enough sunbeds and the water was freezing. The breakfast was good - cooked or cold food available. I felt... More
