When we arrived at the hotel I was convinced that it would be okay: fair location (not to far from several bus stops, nice architecture, nice pool, friendly people at the reception. However... when we arrived at our room I had to change my opinion. We booked a family room. The room was very spacious but worn out: electricity sockets... More

We booked a "Family Room". The room was actually two large rooms, absolutely perfect for our family of four. Very friendly staff and a clean hotel. The hotel has a small swimming pool, but we haven't tried it... So far a hotel I'd recommend.

Enjoyed our stay. Rooms small but very comfortable and clean and connecting rooms ideal for family with older children. Fantastic view of St. Peter's from our balcony. A few negatives - check in slow, room not ready. Street around the hotel full of litter. A little bit out of town but worth it as the pool was a welcome retreat... More

Disappointed with service at the front counter I wanted to check out about 5mins of checking in, the food was terrible, we left it there and got a taxi to somewhere else for food. The service from the young guy who worked at the bar and restaurant was excellent though. No internet, no aircon, no hot water.. But it was clean.... More

We stayed at the Cardinal Hotel in April with a tour group. I was surprised that the hotel was so far from pretty much everything you would want to see in Rome. But the room was clean and very nice. Twice we asked the front desk to call a taxi for us and we had one very quickly both times.... More

Stayed here for 5 nights, with a tour group. Front desk helpful, although a little language barrier sometimes. Breakfast room chaotic, but 3 serving areas, which helped make it easier to select food. Roof top bar offers nice views - but beware of the charges up there - I was overcharged twice for drinks there, which really detracted from the... More

The Cardinal Saint Peter has a view of St Peters Basilica but it is a fair walk to get to, best to catch a taxi. The hotel rooms are basic clean & comfortable. The dining room offers basic meals at a reasonable price. It has a nice pool with a bar. The hotel rooms could do with refurbishment as they... More

Dear Mrs Robyn, thank you for having been our guest and having shared your opinion on our Hotel. I'm glad you have appreciated the view of St. Peter Dome that is available from superior rooms with balcony or from the roof terrace. It is rather unusual to hear your idea about the staff not speaking good english. 70% of our... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the hotel as part of a Trafalgar tour of Italy and Sicily. The hotel has a pool area and a roof top bar with a spa. Rooms are clean however on the small side. Our room (#424) had access to the common balcony with the rooms balconies divided by pot planters. The... More

We turned up at the hotel very tired after flights from BA being diverted from Rome to Naples. We had taken three rooms and booked a good 9 months ago requesting rooms on the same floor, we were given rooms far apart and on different floors and of varying standards and size although we all paid the same. The next... More

The hotel is a bit far from the City Center Rome by 15 to 20 minutes but it is very well connected to buses. and besides good thing is it is near from the Vatican City. The breakfast buffet has lots of food to choose from, lots of variation. The room was clean and wide, I loved the Bathroom, so... More
