The hotel pool was green and out of use for the duration of our stay. We were not informed of this when we booked. Advertising a pool in use is one of the reasons we chose this hotel so we were very disappointed. The rooms were nice, clean and well sized however noisy. We had a pool view but it... More

The picture of the vatican is clever photography - its a good 20 - 30 minute walk to the vatican. The hotel is of average quality - the plus point it has a pool - the minus is there are not enough sunbeds and the water was freezing. The breakfast was good - cooked or cold food available. I felt... More

We stayed in a average size, clean room with a view of the pool. The bathroom was a good size with a powerful shower and a magnifying glass for close ups which was a great idea. The bed was comfortable and hotel quiet so we had a peaceful sleep. The negative aspects of this hotel are; The hotel is difficult to... More

I travelled a lot already, and i normally prefer high standard hotel (4 stars or above). However this hotel was just a huge disappointment. It has been chosen by our superb tour operator for a quick lunch during our visit in Rome. This was the only bad moment of the entire excursion!!! Hotel staff was moody, impolite and RUDE! The... This hotel was very comfortable and very quaint. Located 1/4 mile from the Vatican. Has a lot of charm and great hotel staff. The rooms were very clean and the air conditioning was very overpowering. The bar staff were very helpful as well.

We stayed here with two childeren in two connected rooms. Rooms and beds were ok. Breakfast was included, not good and very crowded. Take bus 98 or 916 to go to the Vatican. Buy tickets at the newsstand next to mcD. Taxi from hotel to Vatican is about 10 euro, to colloseum 17 euro. Staff is willing to all answer... More

Our twin room was small but modern-looking, with a wonderful view. The staff were friendly, however they are often short of change and prefer to put purchases on the room tab. The breakfast buffet was good, and the restaurant was a nice area, however, food was nothing special. Unfortunately, the hotel seemed to be in the middle of nowhere (there... More

I have scored this hotel very good as there is no good category and I felt it was better than average although had we remained in our first allocated room 116 I feel I would be writing a less favourable review altogether it was like a prison cell. Fortunately we were reallocated to 322 a room with a balcony and... More

We booked The Cardinal Hotel via Orbitz about 5 weeks in advance for one night. We were attracted to it by the price and the balcony views of Rome. Upon arrival at the hotel, after an international flight and paying for a taxi because it wasn't near the Metro we were told they were overbooked, but we would be transferred... More
