First time I had visited Rome And was meeting a friend so wanted something comfortable and close to the main attractions. Hotel Centrale was in a perfect location right next to the main streets and easy walking distance to most of the sights. The young man on the front desk was exceptionally helpful and helped us plan out visits as... More

After talking us into an "upgrade," which amounted to a dumpy, top-floor room with a small patio, the Management watched us swelter for two nights with their hopelessly inadequate air conditioner in a room that actually got hotter as it cooled down outside. In short, they talked us into paying more for a room they knew would be the hottest... More

Went on a little family trip, 4 siblings. We took a room all together. The room was spacious enough for the four of us, with all of us being able to sleep properly. Breakfast was correct, but the main compliment is the location. Perfectly central, two blocks from a hop on hop off station, restaurants and walking distance to most... More

This hotel is in a narrow street, just off Piazza del Popolo, so it is quiet and reasonably near to a Metro Station (Flaminio, across the Piazza). Where it is,is away from the main attractions but a 20-30 minute walk brings you down the main shopping street and into the area of the Pantheon, Colosseum etc. The hotel is in... More

I would not recommend staying here. They claimed the ac in our room was working, which it definitely was not. We told the front desk about it and they said the temperature in our room was cold, and nothing was wrong with the ac. They gave us a fan which was nice, but it was still way to hot there.... More

Dear Mr. Derek, I perfectly remember when you came here on the 25th of July because I was at the Front Desk that day. The reservation was for one Single room (for your mother) and one Standard Classic Double room (for yourself and your wife) for four nights. It came through one of our best and reliable partners, for this... More

Hotel Centrale is located in a great area in Room, close to many good attractions. It has character due to its age and surroundings. Loved the lift. The room was very small and bathroom hard to navigate. Breakfast was simple. No hot food. Could have more options. Staff friendly. For 3 star it is comfortable.

We chose to stay at Hotel Centrale in April 2015 after a previous stay in 2007 booked by a travel agent.. We loved the convenient location, the friendly and helpful staff, the great breakfast, and the terrace included with our room. We had a small problem with the toilet on arrival and the staff corrected it almost immediately. We would... More

Really great hotel in the heart of Rome. Close to everything - Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, Colesso, Pantheon, all attractions. Our room was very comfortable and very European, large bathroom with a bath:) Number 28 was not the largest the hotel had to offer as David pointed out on arrival however it was spacious enough. 3 of us stayed for... Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
