The hotel is in a very old building but all the fixtures were very up to date. We loved the location near the Spanish Steps and shopping. The hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for three nights and our only complaint was the very very small bathroom. The free breakfast was European and was good. It... More

We just came back from an awesome cruise and stay in Rome. We stayed in Rome for 3 nights at Hotel Centrale. The location was perfect! Close to Flaminio Metro Station and Piazza del Popolo and also great shopping. Our room was small, but very clean. The breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff was great, especially Yacobo. He was... More

I had a small amount of money stole from the room but ignored this; I put my UK sterling in the safe till the end of the trip. The money was stolen, I questioned the staff and was told “we trust out staff, you've made a mistake". I'm home now, but contacting the Rome Police just to make them aware... More

Dear customer, the day after your departure you sent us an email asking you to verify the presence in the safe in your room for 92 pounds sterling. We quickly checked in both safe and all the furniture in your room, which fortunately had not been rented for the night next to your departure, but without finding anything. Even the... More

We spent 2 days at Hotel Centrale before going to Tuscany for the rest of our trip. The location in Rome is great! It is easy to get to all the attractions we wanted to visit by foot or using the Roma Pass. The facilities are clean, well kept and the staff is wonderful. David saw to our every request... More

We spent 4 days at Hotel Centrale, an older style hotel in a wonderful location with Via Del Corso on your doorstep. The concierge staff, especially David & Franco, were incredibly friendly & helpful & were kind enough to assist us with some tour bookings & offer plenty of advice & tips. Our room was tiny, even by European standards... More

My wife and I had our "Roman Holiday" June 3 - 11, 2014, and enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Centrale, a wonderful hotel in the heart of Rome. Hotel Centrale is a small, European style hotel with a friendly, professional staff. David anchors the front desk and serves the guests as host and concierge. He is joined by a... More

Booked in at Hotel Centrale for 5 nights at about $350 per night. Here's what we got: - very good service from front desk staff - small, utilitarian, clean room - definitely no frills - ridiculously small bathroom - so much so that my 6'0" travel companion could not sit on the toilet - his knees were jammed against the... This is the kind of hotel I stayed in fifty years ago, when I was using Five Dollars a Day as my guide. Now it costs 175 euros! but it is still a good value. My room was too small to even have a chair in it, but it had good wi-fi, which was my priority. The staff is very... More

We stayed three nights. I want to mention specially David, working the front desk. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, to the point of preparing a hot tea for my wife. The hotel is modern and the room was spacious and clean. Great location close to the Piazza del Popolo.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is situated in a pedestrian area near Spanish Steps and Popolo Squares, which is extremely quiet and just few meters far from the big Villa Borghese parking. What makes the hotel unique among the others in the capital city is the building fascination; it is in fact a beautiful 1700 palace. Moreover, the hotel is one of the few that, being located in the centre of Rome, can offer advantage our rates. ... more   less
