This hotel has a great location, near the Plaza de Popolo, Flamino subway stop, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain with lots of good restaurants nearby. The room was very quiet at night, with a large bathroom. The bed and pillows were not particularly comfortable and the breakfasts were not exciting (other than delicious pear juice). The staff were particularly helpful... More

We wanted a Rome hotel with European character and nearby access to public transportation. The Hotel Centrale met our expectations. The hotel’s location is very close to Piazza del Popolo and is within a 5-10 minute walk to either the Flamino or the Spagna (Spanish Steps) metro stops. The Via del Corso is 100 meters away and is lined with... More

A truly wonderful hotel, with exceptional customer service from Mr David. Issues were immediately solved to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Very pleased with our accommodation, a true Italian feel! Thank you.

Hotel is perfectly located for all kind of touristic and not touristic destinations, in a quiet and safe area. Very close to metro. Rooms are clean. Reception staff and Management are extremely helpful and attentive, which creates an atmosphere of feeling lika at home! Constant WI-FI availability.

Hotel Centrale is convienent to all the sites in central Rome. The staff is excellent and incredible helpful, even arranging pick up from the airport for us at a reasonable price. Breakfast was a treat with fresh fruit, pastries and cappuccino. Take away pizza and an artisanal gelato store directly across the quiet street. This is in a historic building,... More

Dear customer , thank you for your great review on our hotel . For us it is a pride to have satisfied customers. Ours is a small hotel in a building of 1700, but we have recently renovated the entire building and facilities , while maintaining the characteristics of the old palace . As you may have noticed we do... More

Perfect location close to the Spanish steps and Villa Borghese, walking distance to Piazza Navona to name a few. Nothing luxurious, but well worth the money. Tasty, simple Italian-Continental breakfast.

We just returned from a much-too-brief visit in Rome where we stayed at the Hotel Centrale for a couple of days. The hotel, and David and other staff, provided everything we needed for a very comfortable, pleasant stay. We upgraded to the suite on the top floor, worth every penny. We had a lovely terrace to ourselves and the room... More

Dear QOTUSudbury, Thank you for sharing your exciting experience in Junior Suite with us! The hotel location is fabulous that's true! Here you don't need any public transportation. Between two of the most important streets of the city center: Del Corso & Del Babuino, Hotel Centrale is located less than 5 minutes walking distance from the Spanish Steps or Popolo... More

Comfy older hotel. Rooms small but clean. Great location for eating, shopping and exploring. The staff was helpful. We took the train and subway from the airport. Long walk from the subway but saves a few euros. Breakfast nice. I couldn't get my WiFi to work, but there is an internet terminal. Rome was fun!

We elected to stay 5 nights at this hotel and left feeling quite disappointed. The room size was ok. The bed comfort level was average. The bathroom in good condition but the shower head could not be raised above waist height meaning you had to sit in the bath to shower. The breakfast was inadequate, not much to choose from... More

Dear Gail2610, Thanks for posting your comment. It is in part really interesting. The Deluxe room is one of the best we provide and for this reason every criticism is always well accepted. This kind of room in fact is big enough to accommodate up to three persons, nice balcony overlooking the courtyard and huge bathroom with bathtub. You are... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
