Nice and clean Hotel. Close to all the tourist attractions. Someone here wrote that it was very little space in the bathroom. And that a person longer than 1.80 wouldn't fit to sit on the toilet. But my husband he's 1.96 and it was no problem for him ;-)

Hotel Centrale was a wonderful experience for my husband, daughter and granddaughter over the Christmas holidays. Staff were fantastic, especially David who phoned me personally before we left Canada, to assure us that we would have adjoining rooms for our 7 night stay. The location was perfect for walking to the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and the Vatican. Our little... More

If you are looking after an amazing location to stay in Rome, this is it. Yet if you are just the to sleep, have breakfast and leave your luggage then it is OK also, however if you want to have luxury and fine staying maybe look for another place. Enjoy

We stayed here for 2 nights in December 2015 and couldn't have been happier. Hotel Centrale really lives up to its name. We could walk to all attractions with the Trevi Fountain only being 15 mins away. The welcome we received was fantastic, the lady on reception even picked up that it was our birthdays and wished us a happy... More

We stayed at Hotel Centrale for four nights beginning October 30, 2015 after completing a Mediterranean cruise. It was in a perfect location -- just a block from Piazza Poppola and within easy walking distance of the Spanish Steps and the Metro. Shopping and restaurants were plentiful. It's located on a cobble stone street off the Del Coroso (main street... More

Good location , you could be miles out but here you are in the heart of Rome but on a quite side road with no traffic. Room small , breakfast good , friendly staff, cafe next door , best ice cream over street. Nice small shops , good to enjoy a city break ,etc.recomend the hotel to airport service ,

Small, charming hotel in the heart of the city. Located within walking distance of most of the attractions. David, the front desk manager, was friendly, informative, and well connected with all the information needed to make our stay great. Free, tasty continental breakfast with wonderful coffee got our days started off right. While small, the rooms are clean, comfortable and... More

As a first time traveler to Rome, I wasn't prepared for the small rooms & tiny bathrooms, however the charm of the hotel - it was an old house before a hotel - and the wonderful accommodating staff made me feel quite at home there. After spending a few days there it started to feel like my home away from... More

My friend and I were in Italy from Sept 26 - Oct 9 for the first time, and we spent the first 4 days or our trip in Rome at this hotel & then our final night in Italy back at this hotel. This was the perfect introduction to Italy! David, the lovely man at the front desk immediately got... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
