I liked this hotel because it is really small, sort of shabby, and great location close to Vatican, actually close to everything if you like to walk. I typically stay at 4 star places, this is what I am going to think is a 3 star definition! Cant go wrong more

I can only echo many of the comments made in other reviews. The location is excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. Our room was basic and although the bedroom was of a good size the bathroom was tiny and the only way to use the toilet was to sit sideways. We had to keep the sliding bathroom door... more

Hotel Centrale was a great place to stay in Rome- such a convenient location, right near Piazza Del Popolo, a short walk to the Spanish Steps and all the ritzy shops, close to lots of restaurants, a metro station and taxi stand! My husband and I travel to Europe often and our experience at Hotel Centrale was terrible by ALL Standards. Breakfast is very disappointing and usually laid out at 8AM, even though breakfast begins at 7AM. Breakfast a dissapointment as per earlier reviews. We are still here and had a clogged AC unit/condensation line with water running on the floor all night and subsequent drywall damage. They moved us into another room for one night, they tried to move us back to the original room with the smell of wet dry wall, paint & probable mold.... more
