This hotel has the strict necessary. The rooms are clean but dark and old. The shower cabin you can't even move your hand. Is noisy. At least you have wi fi. The stuff is nice but not very helpful. Try something better.

We were directed to Mamiani as our room at Hotel Osimar was undergoing renovations. We were very nervous but ended up being quite happy with the arrangement. The hotel is downtown, right by Termini, so it's not the best neighbourhood. However, we didn't feel unsafe. Just uncomfortable at times. The convenience was well worth it. It was a great place... Not very impressed upon arrival, girl at reception couldn't speak English. Thereafter, we were told there was a problem with our room and they were going to move us to a hotel 15mins away. We refused and eventually they gave us a room. It is cheap and basic but we did find a bug the bed. Good location but that's... More

This is a cheap 3* hotel near Termini station. It is totally not bad for what it is: super clean rooms, very nice, friendly and helpful staff and you get breakfast served to your room. If you are looking to save some money yet not stay in a dump, this is an excellent choice. The only downside is that the... More

Nice hotel near Roma Termini Station. The hotel is very small and they don't have a restaurant but this is a good thing because they bring the breakfast in your room (I loved this thing). The rooms were clean and cosy, but quite dark. I think that Mamiani is a good 3 star hotel in Rome

As there is no elevator in this place, you have to hear through the thin walls every single check in process, and then their drag of the bags upstairs. You also can hear every loud car drive past or stop in my experience, at 4am blasting Bollywood music while presumably loading a people mover or bus with luggage because it... More

Booked for me by a local company , it wasn't somewhere I would have chosen. despite being a seasoned traveller the area in some surround streets is uncomfortable and walking at night was treated with caution. Not somewhere for a family or ladies!. The staff were kind and helpful and avalible, but the room was very basic, bed 'firm', power... More

We went on our honeymoon to Rome, and we wanted to visit the beautiful city for as many nights as possible! Therefore we decided on a inexpensive hotel. Hotel Mamiani is a really good alternative to the expensive hotels on the historic center, and the location is great! It takes about 12-14 minutes to walk to the Colosseum, and 25... More

Our travel agent booked this for us as part of a 6 week Europe trip, by the looks of the photos it looked ok, located only 5 mins from the station and close proximity to the major sites. We asked for a room to fit a family of 4 with breakfast included, WELL THAT WAS A JOKE!! No lift, the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
