Unimaginable value for such a central location in Rome. Access is a bit byzantine but staff friendly and helpful. Rooms was basic but nice rooftop balcony and comfortable bed. Next time I will bring a bar of soap but otherwise the amenities are what you would expect for a budget guest house. Really, if you need somewhere central for a... More

A great and centrally located small B&B. We stayed with my family in two double rooms, which were nicely furnished and had nice balconies which we used in the mornings and evenings. Staff friendly and flexible. There were two disadvantages: the quality of breakfast was rather poor and the bathroom in out room was smelly at times. Other than that,... More

I spent in this inn just one nite, or it would be best to say i COULD NOT spend the nite in the room, because the sheets were full of cat hair. I am very allergic to cats, so after a day spent visiting Rome with 40 degrees, i come back, lie on the bed and start having an allergic... More

The room was decent for the cheap price I paid. The issue, however, came when I asked upon checking in if more than 2 people could stay in my room. The woman at Check-in, Vivian, said more people could stay as long as they paid the city-tax of $3.50 per night, per person. I agreed, but when my friends and... More

As soon as we arrived the corridor smelled so bad we felt really sick. We didn't experience a warm welcome. The room was pleasant but certainly not spotlessly clean. Breakfast was packed. The wifi signal was very poor and slow and it worked only if we stood behind the door!! The air condition was very noisy at times. The lady... More

This seems to be part time/side job so service not always available but when it was there were no issues. Also clean and comfortable rooms, get it at the right price and its a convenient base to explore the city. If you are looking however for luxury and pamperinbg, look elsewhere (and at a whole different price range).

A great find that easily surpassed expectations. Despite the central location and large newly refurbished rooms, they were one of the cheapest we found. Friendly and efficient English-speaking service. Only downside is that when we arrived at 1.30pm we couldn't get in as reception wasn't manned, but we just stopped by the deli (see below) for a quick lunch first.... More

When we first arrived at the hotel I thought I would throw up from the smell of urine in the hallway. Every night we returned to the hotel I literally plugged my nose and tried to run to my door at the end of the hall. Apparently someone or something didn't make it to the WC! The room itself was... I found this hotel on Booking.com and the price was really affordable (150 EUR for two persons for three nights), so I had to rely on the reviews from TripAdvisor to make the final decision. And frankly I did experience most of the good and bad things highlighted by the fellow travelers. I was in Rome with my sister (who... More

I was really happy arriving in Roma to discover this city. Based on tripadvisor, I did booked Alex Inn hotel that seems to be a really nice place however the nightmare started as soon as I arrived.... First of all it's really difficult to find the place because beside a plate on the wall entrance, nothing special... And in front... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
