A great find that easily surpassed expectations. Despite the central location and large newly refurbished rooms, they were one of the cheapest we found. Friendly and efficient English-speaking service. Only downside is that when we arrived at 1.30pm we couldn't get in as reception wasn't manned, but we just stopped by the deli (see below) for a quick lunch first.... More

When we first arrived at the hotel I thought I would throw up from the smell of urine in the hallway. Every night we returned to the hotel I literally plugged my nose and tried to run to my door at the end of the hall. Apparently someone or something didn't make it to the WC! The room itself was... I found this hotel on Booking.com and the price was really affordable (150 EUR for two persons for three nights), so I had to rely on the reviews from TripAdvisor to make the final decision. And frankly I did experience most of the good and bad things highlighted by the fellow travelers. I was in Rome with my sister (who... More

I was really happy arriving in Roma to discover this city. Based on tripadvisor, I did booked Alex Inn hotel that seems to be a really nice place however the nightmare started as soon as I arrived.... First of all it's really difficult to find the place because beside a plate on the wall entrance, nothing special... And in front... More

We had three nights in Rome and wanted to be near the main sites. The location was good and the staff was very responsive and tried hard to make our stay pleasant. The breakfasts were very good. However, the places needs some work. The first upgrade needed is repairs to the walls and new paint. There are marks and gouges... More

I am embarrassed to be writing this review so long after my visit but better late than never! I surprised my partner with a birthday trip to Rome back in April. It was a first visit for both of us and the Alex Inn was recommended to us by another hotel... we are so glad the first choice didn't work... More

Located quite close to some of the better hotels in Rome, this B&B is tucked away in a quiet location just near Via Veneto and minutes from two Metro stations and the Corso. Rooms are moderate in size - we also had a balcony area which was perfect for breakfast. The bed very firm, the shower doing the job with... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
