Okapi is ideally situated for walking to all major sites in Rome. Our large room was fantastic, on the top floor, clean, and had a balcony. The staff were helpful and friendly. Okapi is in a safe, quiet location near a charming pulic piazza and excellent outdoor cafe's. As breakfast is not provided, it would have been more helpful to... more

We were booked into the Panda but as they ran out of rooms, our travel companion booked into the sistership, Okapi Rooms. Before Italy went onto the Euro, we could afford the wonderful Locarno Hotel with our Australian dollars. We were surprised when we met her at the Okapi, it is right across the street from the Locarno (another fabulous... more

Situated on Via Della Penna, Okapi Rooms is a Sister hotel to Hotel Panda on the Via Del Roca. At 110 euros for double a little dearer than Panda but you get your own bathroom and a small balcony. Really enjoyed staying there. Via Della Penna is just off the Piazza Del Popolo (there's a metro stop there called Flamenio)....so... more

Tucked away just off the Piazza del Popolo and within an easy walk of the Spanish Steps, Tiber, and Via Del Corso, Okapi Rooms is a very quiet home base for exploring Rome. Our room (42) came with an interesting lay-out, with a long balcony and a bathroom up off a private internal staircase which almost gave the sense of... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Okapi Rooms for 5 nights and loved it. The location was great, the metro was really close by which meant everything was easily accessible, although if you dont mind walking most things are close enough. The rooms are cleaned daily and everything is spotless. We stayed in a double room with private bathroom.... more

This is a little hotel with a whole lot of charm! Our stay at Okapi Rooms was a wonderful experience. We wanted a small hotel in the heart of of Rome. The hotel is located within a brief walk of Poppolo Piazza. Just 2 doors down from the hotel are several exceptional restaurants and smaller eating places, amongst many shops.... more

Okapi Rooms are a budget hotel which are located just off the Piazza del Popolo at the Start of the Tridente. The rooms were easy to find from Termini by simply taking the Metro to Flamini and walking about 3 minutes from the Piazza. While near a busy Piazza, the rooms themselves were quietly located on a side road. While... more

We stayed 4 nights in the Okapi Rooms. The place was newly remodeled, and like all Italian rooms, smaller than American rooms. There were a few quirks about the place, like you have to use a plastic tag to get your power (and A/C on) and if you have to leave the room to go out, off goes the power... more

We stayed in the Okapi Rooms for a week in June and found it excellent. Their website gave very clear instructions about how to get there and, even though we checked in quite late, there was a manned reception desk with a really friendly welcome (although, we had warned them we would be late so maybe that helped!). Our room... more
