Like everyone else has said, this is a great location for being close to Termini- literally a 3 minute walk down a street. The area is fine- I know some have mentioned that the area is sketchy, but there are restaurants along the way, so it's well-lit and populated until the last street. Other than that, the hostel is clean,... More

This hostel is within 5 minutes walking distance from the main train station Rome Termini. It was very convenient as there are so many means of transport nearby. The only downside is the place (around Rome Termini) seems a bit insecure especially at night. However, throughout my 3 nights stay, everything was all good, so it should be alright as... More

The accommodation is located in the center, very close to the train station. So, it was quite convenience for our group to travel into all attractive places in Rome. The officer was nice and helpful. The breakfast was great and enough. The wifi was OK. The only thing was the room was so small for 4 people. However, in overall... More

Great hostel for the money. Shower was powerful but did not have a hook to hold it up so useless. One of the more rough parts of rome but we had to issues and we felt fairly safe here. A lot safer than naples anyway!

Fully enjoyed our 5-night stay at this place! We booked a private double room and we were given the one for 3 people. Everything was wonderful: it was clean, comfortable bed, very friendly and helpful staff and the great thing was they give you breakfast in bed every day! Just lovely. Breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, yogurt, croissants, bread with... More

I've been in Rome a couple of weeks ago. I'm in Italy as a student abroad, so I figured I should paid a visit to Eternal City while I'm still in this amazing country. When it comes to travel during a period aborad as a student, money are always a big issues, so I just booked the accommodation that fitted... More

This hostel is SO GREAT for travellers! Minutes away from roma termini on foot, making it so easy to get to the main tourist attractions of Rome! Though the street is sort of scary at night there are places to eat very nearby, room very clean and breakfast nice enough! Shared bathroom but other guests very nice. Definitely recommend!

The hostel has an amazing for travellers. Even if the street gets creepy at night you can just go around from the parallel street that is completely normal at anytime of the day. Staff amazingly friendly! the room was big enough, equipped with a fridge :). A safe and high quality choice to stay in Rome

I have to beginning by saying how difficult this hostel was to find. The streets numbers make zero sense and there no sign or anything of such outside the hostel entrance to indicate you are in the right place. The lady at the receptions was great, she showed us to our room and was very honest about the area being... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
