We booked in and was suddenly told the city tax went up to €3.50 and apparently the site we booked through supposedly told us-no they didn't. It went down hill from there. The downstairs restaurant is modern and clearly no money has been spent in years upstairs. The beds are rock hard and uncomfortable with the world's smallest pillows-you are... More

Excellent location!! Right across the stress from the Colosseum. Our bedroom window opened up to the site of the Colosseum. Kinda noisy at night from the club downstairs but when you're walking around Rome all day and super tired at night, you barely notice it. Cathia was extremely helpful. The continental breakfast was excellent.

To make it short: +) location: colosseum and gay street -) the room, many things were not working, no place to leave the bags but the floor, no hangers. Hot water comes and goes... Quite annoying when u are under the shower. That's not really a hotel, after check-in we have been taken to another place, a near old building... More

This has got to be the closest window view of the Colosseum that you can get (pictures attached). It is why I chose this Hotel and I was not disappointed. We had room 203 and it was fabulous. And when I say fabulous I mean the view of the Colosseum was fabulous. The room itself was okay, comfortable and larger... More

Checking in was easy. The staff at the hotel restaurant wasn't the best but ok. We opened our windows and our view was the coliseum. That made it worth it but get a good map. The paper maps aren't great and a lot of roads aren't there so some other landmarks are hard to get there from there.

Location of this hotel is great. The noise that others wrote about didn't seem that bad. The only downside to this plce is that its advertise as a hotel when really is more of a b&b. Staff were ok nothing special. There main concern is the restaurant and dont really bother with the hotel side. Breakfast is not good. One... More

We stayed for 3 nights and got a room that looked out to the dining balcony which meant we could see the colluseum. The room was lovely and spacious with A. The bathroom was also spacious with a shower, bedie and toilet although there was a slightly unpleasant smell from time to time but this never came into the room.... More

(+) Very good location near Colosseum. Clean rooms and friendly staff. (-) Noisy at night, next door to a club. Plumbing got backed up in the toilet second day of the trip, they didn´t manage to fix it so we had to wait for restaurant to open in the morning. We may have had the worst of luck.. Breakfast was... We stayed on October 3.Our room is large and clean. It has view of Colosseo and Ludus magnus,it's very beautiful! From the stage of the reservation,Catia was kind.Though I made a change of reservation... Thank you. We will stay again. イヤだったのは、蝿がたくさんいることです。場所がら仕方ないのかもしれませんが、朝食で使用するレストランはもちろんのこと、部屋にまで2匹入ってきました…。最近の日本では、ありえないですよね。

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
