Found the Hotel Orange here on Tripadvisor and made my booking on their website, which was easy and quick. Communication with the hotel in regards to transfers was very good and I was really looking forward to my stay. The room I booked was a basic room, but being alone I thought 'not a problem' - but it was. No... More

We had a surprise european trip this year for work, I was able to have my adorable wife go wth me. Since it was our first time in Europe tge Vatican was a must. Having 5 weeks to reserve/decide and a small budget, we decided on the Orange Hotel for Rome, 2 blocks from Vatican and metro. And about $120... More

This is a small hotel near the Vatican. It is a convenient location for sightseeing. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. The hotel room was clean, however it could use some updating and maintenance. The noise from the people on the street made it difficult to sleep.

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights and we would absolutely stay here again if we return to Rome! The hotel staff was great, rooms were smaller but very clean, and the entire atmosphere of the hotel was very welcoming and supportive of travelers. Everyone had great English and was very willing to help. The hotel is easy to... More

If you are looking for a hotel close to the Vatican, then this is the place for you. The location of the Orange Hotel can't be beat - - just a quick five minute walk from Saint Peter's Square makes this the perfect place for pilgrims. The staff, particularly in the breakfast room, were quite friendly and very helpful. There... More

If you want to stay close to the Vatican city area, this hotel is 3 min walk from the vatican. So, location wise is pretty good. The people who work there are pretty helpful but here are some "not so nice things" about the hotel. - expect to see lots of orange everywhere! The rooms have orange light. During the... More

We had a great stay in this hotel. We arrived well early, having caught an early morning flight from London. Check-in not until 1500hrs, we got there at 1200hrs. We were greeted very warmly, told a room was ready for us (we'd not supplied any details of what time we'd be arriving), was given a quick explanation of various features... More

We have just returned from our holiday which included 2 nights staying at The Orange Hotel which is a ten minute walk from the Vatican. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and Beatrice in particular was very helpful. Our room no 304 was very quirky but very small. There was no floor space whatsoever. When you walk in... More

A very clean if somewhat 'basic' hotel situated within walking distance of the Vatican, shops, restaurants & the metro/bus stops. Staff were friendly & helpful, rooms were kept clean, can get a little noisy of a night as it's close to the main road & very close to a bar/restaurant so make sure your windows are closed & the air... Just came back from an awesome trip to Rome and spent my last 4 nights in this hotel. I would say it is definitely contemporary aspiring to boutique but not quite there yet... Looking at the basics first it is very clean, the beds comfortable and the staff Very helpful which is great. The position is also very good and... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
