Our group of four (two retired couples), was looking for reasonably priced accommodation close to Roma Termini for a few days prior to taking a cruise from Civitevecchia. We found it at Da nonna Clementina in a most convenient location only 7 minutes from the train station. It was easy to book on the Internet and full payment was not... More

It is just 5-min. walk from the Termini but located in a bit doggy area. A big supermarket is 2 blocks away that saves your wallet. Breakfast is mainly cookie, packed (not fresh) bread and bread square (that you see in Italy all over - sorry I forgot the name). There is NO ONE during the day. An old lady... More

Cheap accommodation close to Roma Termini Station. This place is very small, but run by a lovely host! The bathroom is very cramped, and the breakfast is pretty ordinary, but otherwise a very nice place for the price!

Great hotel, comfortable room, free wifi ;) nice staff very kind, helpful and attentive, always smile 👍. Good breakfast, clean rooms, a bit small shower cabin, if you are not small will be a bit difficult to have a shower, ... Great location , very close by to Termini, also close by to the center.

Since my last review in 2010, I visited Rome another 5 times and I always stayed at this accommodation. It is convenient (location and facilities), clean and friendly (the owner, Rita, welcomes you at check in and is there for breakfast). I find it very convenient since booking is directly with the owner by means of email info@danonnaclementina.it

I was looking for an inexpensive accommodation in Rome, near the Termini station so that I would have access to the centre of Rome. A colleague of mine suggested Da Nonna Clementina and so I managed to book a room there, after communicating through email. The rooms were just 5 mins walking from Termini station but are not easy to... More

I stayed with my husband at Da Nonna Clemetina at the beginning of April, and it was very nice. The room is very cosy, clean and had everything we need. The location is perfect, a 5 minute walk from Termini. Although Rita didn´t speak much English, we were able to communicate well. She was very attentive and helpful with us.... More

Very nice B&B indeed. 5 minutes walk from Repubblica or Termini Metro Station. Located into a nice building, rooms are at the low ground. Everything is quite new , well maintained and decorated. Rooms are big enough clean and warm. Staff friendly and helpful They only flaw may be the breakfast. Knowing what you can get in Italy normally, this... More

I have stayed for another week in this accommodation. There is nothing to complain about. It has just 5 rooms in all. The room I stay in has a window in the main courtyard. The rooms are air conditioned and clean. The breakfast is simple. The location is within walking distance from the Termini station which is the main hub... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
