We looked for a hotel in western Rome and found Casa La Salle through other positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We found the catholic guest home near metro Cornelia (line A) to be a pleasant hotel with nice and efficient staff, situated in a lovely park. There was no noise from the busy traffic. Our room was basic, very clean... More

Wonderful staff, clean rooms, well maintained, comfortable beds, excellent buffet breakfast, a couple of subway stops from the Vatican (long walk), wonderful peaceful grounds. We had 3 rooms for 3 families with kids ranging in age from 9 to 18 and we were all happy. It isn't a 5 star 'luxurious' hotel but simply an excellent safe clean place to... More

I stayed there at the Christian Brothers with my class of Seminarians for eleven days and it was a very nice place. It was the Winter of 2001 and it was a bit cold. Food was great and the room service was good. I hope that 11 years after my visit to Rome, I return there in 2012 in July,... More

We chose Casa La Salle because my brother in law teaches La Sallian Brothers and they recommemded it. And they were right. It is an oasis of calm in a city where tourism is wall-to-wall, noisy and generally ill mannered. It is some distance from the centre, but there is a good metro service (station about 500m away, use the... More

Because this hotel is run by the Christian Brothers, Casa La Salle is not the place to stay if you're looking for amazing luxury or incredible amenities. However, if all you want is a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom and a great location, Casa La Salle is a great choice for your trip. The nearest subway stop is less than... More

We have just returned from a short break to Rome and stayed at Casa La Salle. In common with previous reviewers we found the accommodation to be very clean and more than adequate for our requirements. What was particularly reassuring was to be able to arrange a pickup from Fiumcino Airport as I suspect we would have struggled to find... More

rooms are clean and tidy, with all amenities - the only drawback was the distance to the centre of rome - bus or metro ride needed really unless you like walking - which limited night time activities/restaurants More

I travel to Rome twice yearly for business and always stay at Casa LaSalle. The hotel is owned located on the grounds of the Generalate of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Better known as the Lasallian Brothers, it is a teaching order of men. The hotel was originally housing for members of the order. The rooms, while simple, are... More

We stayed at Casa La Salle on May 2008 for 4 nights. 2 at the beginning of our trip and 2 at the end. As you can see, we decided to go back. It is a very clean, nice , huge location. People at the front desk are really nice and extremelly helpful. We were able to leave one of... More

I stayed here as a leader of a tour group in March of 2007 and would recommend it for anyone visiting Rome on a budget. It is out of town a bit (not within walking distance to Forum, etc) but is only 2 blocks away from main metro line and as such transport into city is easy and cheap. It... More
