Mr and Mrs Smith is my go-to site for hotel research and I must admit, they never disappoint. On this occasion I was blown away. CasaCau is a hotel made up of separate, self-contained apartments in an old, renovated building close to the Trevi Fountain. From the arrival we were treated like royalty. All of the staff go above and... More

I was extremely lucky to find this place. It is a group of apartments inside a building located near the Trevi fountain. The apartments are very well done with kitchens, etc. What makes this place truly special is the excellence of the management that look after your needs from the beginning to the end. Kevin with whom I dealt with... More

I took my husband to Rome for his 40th and stayed 3 nights at Casacau in Apt 5. Kevin was really helpful with restaurant recommendations and organised an airport pick up and a bottle of prosecco for when we arrived. The apartment was brilliant - cool clean and beautifully designed for a stay that's a bit different to the usual... More

I can't say enough about how great this place is. We stayed in apartment 6. It's massive, trendy and brilliantly located in Trevi. Breakfast delivered every morning to door. Fantastically friendly staff (thank you Kevin). I just wish I owned the place so I could keep coming back.

We stayed a few nights here. Really cool apartments, amazing location for exploring Rome. Lovely touches with the free ipad to use, bose bluetooth speaker and turkish steam shower. Kevin was a great host. Only improvements we could think of would be a comfortable chair/sofa to sit in after a long day walking the sights (the chairs in apartment no.5... More

Thanks for your impressions We thought about having a sofa and different chairs, bigger to be as comfortable as you say. We did prefer to have big beds to use also to rest at coming back and a real rest space in the living room of Apt 5, with a table great table and chairs. We will be searching for... More

We stayed for three nights in apartment 2, very stylish, great proximity to sights and restaurants, beds very comfortable and great steam shower. Kevin was extremely welcoming and very helpful. Nothing but praise for this accommodation, really excellent! We were travelling with kids (ours older) and we had a family with two toddlers upstairs, we heard lots of running and... More

Thanks for your words, important and feeding. Toddlers? I'd to go and see the translation. I learn a new word and a new 'danger'. No, i'm joking. We do want to host families, even if we do have just one apartment where we an host family ( Apt 6 ). Even if can happen to disturb other guests, CasaCau is... More

We stayed 5 nights in this excellent accommodation (flat 4) which is in walking distance to most of the major sites. It is also close to the Metro. Kevin is extremely helpful and the room is tastefully decorated. The reason for not giving room 4 a 5 is the noise from the street. Still, I would highly recommend Casacau.

Stayed for 3 nights in Appt 3. Absolutely faultless. Enjoyed NOT having a TV, and loved the supply of an iPad from the lovely Kevin. Location is just amazing, seconds from the Spanish Steps, and within walking distance of all of Rome's best sights. Good pastries and bread for breakfast, gorgeous bed and the sauna was heavenly. Give yourselves a... More

We could bang on for hours in detail but quite simply this is one of the best hotel/appt experiences we have had for years. The big picture is great location exquisitely designed space and faultless service. The detail is in the fabrics, the kitchen implements and food/drink, the steam shower, the bath products... We like to take chances and gambled... More

I really struggled not giving Casacau the full 5 stars but at the end of the day I couldn't say it was 'excellent' because contrary to what some of the other reviews seem to hint, the apartment (apt 5) by virtue of its location is very noisy even with the windows and shutters closed. The noise meant that I had... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
