Unlike previous review we found it very central, only 10mins walk to spanish steps and only 20 minutes to further bars and resturants. Open top buses great and they stop near the hotel. Overall fantactic hotel in a fantastic city.

After checking in we were told that our room was only available for two of the three nights and therefore if we did not want to change rooms we would have to take a room at the Veneto Hotel, which is pretty much the same hotel but managed separately. The room was the same and we accepted the change. We... More

Visited this hotel in May. We arrived at about 13.30 and were told we could not check in until 14.00 by a very rude receptionist. We went for a coffee, came back at 14.00 and there were another 4 or 5 parties waiting to check in. We then had to wait until 14.40 to actually get our room. We were... More

Dear Guest, We inform you that the check in time starts from 2.00 pm (as it is written in the hotel's information) to allow all the guests to have a check out within 11.00 am, we we believe that it is nicer not to be in a rush when leaving the hotel, instead of waiting half hour at the check... The whole family were truly impressed with everything about the Romanico Palace during our stay in July. If you want a spotlessly clean room and bathroom facilities, comfortable bed, attentive service from Ilaria and all the management and staff and a brilliant breakfast on the wonderful roof terrace with great views of the city then just come and stay here.... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Romanico Palace. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, especially Iliana. We had a large double with great Jacuzzi/shower: the room was spotless with towels etc. changed daily,. We appreciated the airconditioning in August, also the quietness of the area at night as well as the alfresco breakfast on the roof each morning. Wonderful... More

Stayed with my husband and parents for three nights, and had a nice time. The staff were attentive and helpful, the terrace was great for an evening drink, but was expensive for drinks. coffee/tea facilities in rooms would have been a good idea, but all in all, a good time was had.

We stayed at the Romanico Palace Hotel in Rome for 3 nts in late July 2009. I had found the hotel online and read mixed reveiws. During my hotel search I kept coming back to this hotel as the rooms shown had a very roman feel to them with fresco's on the ceiling, ornate furniture & mirrors and beautifully painted... More

I booked this hotel for a weekend break for my sister and her husband to celebrate there 25th wedding anniversary. The Hotel Romanico was fantastic, they had a fabulous deluxe room. There was everything you would expect; good air conditioning, safe, mini bar, hairdryer, satelite TV. The location was perfect, walking distance to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps.... More

My family (husband and kids aged 14, 12 and 7) stayed here for 4 days in June. We didn't meet the famed Ilaria Lucani, but the gentlemen at the front desk did a lovely job in her place. We stayed in two rooms - one at the front of the hotel and one at the back. Best of both worlds.... More

I have stayed in Rome many times and I have not found a better hotel. The staff and location are superb. Breakfast on the roof terrace is very special, great food and great views. I took a party of 17 photographers in March 2009 and the whole trip was fantastic but the hotel was a real delight

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
