Our room (and shower!) were quite small by most standards. However, everything worked well and was clean and modern. Helpful staff, and good breakfast. Room had no window, but we didn't really mind this.

There were so many things wrong with this hotel that I am not going to be able to list them all here! I upgraded to a 'Prestige' double when I booked on lastminute.com as I wanted to ensure a good room for the first three nights of my holiday but what I actually received was a tiny, dated and dirty... My partner and I spent 3 nights at Hotel Romanico Palace from 8-11 September 2010. We booked the trip through lastminute.com and paid £250 per person for a Deluxe Double room. After reading many negative reviews on TripAdvisor we were concerned about the hotel, these concerns tunred out to be unfounded. ROOM: The room was a Deluxe Double on the... More

having read some of the reviews we were a little anxious abut this place. it is lovely. clean , quiet and in a very nice location. the staff were helpful and professional. we'd deffinitley go again. buy bus tickets though because there's a fair bit of walking and the city is on 7 hills(only 7?). our first visit to Rome... From the second you walk through the revolving doors, Simone greets you with a smile and helps your every need. The hotel is really pretty...we received a free drink upon arrival, which was nice. They also gave us a free shuttle from the airport which was about a 20 minute trip, so that was a great penny saver for us.... More

Staff in general were pleasant and helpful. Our room although in a quirky place, ( in a separate apartment building next door, very 1930's which I loved). The room itself was roomy, clean, freshly decorated with a lovely shower, plenty of towels and toiletries and a fairly comfortable bed. We paid 99 euros for the room per night booking 6... More

I had this hotel booked for me with my girlfriend for my 21st birthday. There are far too many people on this website who are expecting hotels to look like those in typical cities, if you want to holiday in true Rome, this is the place to stay. The decoration is fantastic and the rooms are clean, classic and luxurious!... More

Very helpful English speaking staff who were efficient and friendly. Room was clean and well appointed although the decoration would not to have been to everyones' taste and the carpet was stained in one place. Shower powerful but not particularly easy to control due to holder being broken. Air con worked well and although on the first floor and on... More

This hotel is truly magnificent in its decor cleanliness and the rooms are wonderful, we were on the 6th floor of the anex building next door and the room had just undergone full refurbishment. We were disappointed that we were made to wait until almost 5pm to check in as the room was not ready so we left the bags... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
