Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of January with my partner. Really good location, close to the train station and also various bus and tram stops. Saying this the room was noisy at times but not unbearable. We had room 14 on the 1st floor. Was really spacious with a good bathroom. Bed was a bit hard though.... More

we have had a great 5 day stay here. Lovely big rooms cleaned daily. Nice big bathroom with toiletries and special thin drying towels. Yes it is noisy but you're in Rome it is noisy! I am a very light sleeper and had no issues but if you want to stay in bed all day it will get noisy. Great... More

Our room overlooked the busy street and bus stop so was noisey. First night OK but second night the homeless were out and underneath our window. Husband had to go downstairs (no phone link to reception) to night manager to complain. Night manager was fast asleep in the breakfast room. Breakfast pleasant enough. Bathroom clean except for dirt in a... More

Wow... I still have back pain from the terrible mattresses. This hotel is FAR from everything. TERRIBLE LOCATION! This is NOT a 4 star. SO noisy. I couldnt even sleep at night! Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

The hotel is comfortable but that's about it, it is a 2.5 or 3 stars maximum, I don't know who makes the rating but definitively not a 4 stars!....The hotel is a bit far from all the major sites about 20 minutes walk from the termini and from the closest stop for the "Hop On Hop Off" city tour. The... More

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Latinum this September. We found the staff to be very helpful and informative and nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was adequate and the hotel was clean. The rooms were reasonable size and clean. As with previous comments our bedroom carpet did have some bleach stains which was more noticeable because the carpet was... More

We were booked in here for one night as the hotel we had a reservation at likely overbooked. The location was just down the street from our hotel and we were told it was a 4 star. Well you would not know it from the room we got--it was in the basement and so small we could not open both... More

Just back from Rome. Our stay at Hotel Latinum was short (4 nights) but very pleasant. The hotel is not so far from Manzoni metro station. You gonna get used to walking in Rome very quickly. We were shocked how dirty and smelling the city was, but the hotel was the opposite. Cleaned every day, free toiletiers, hairdryer. The rooms... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights, we traveled from Florence to Rome by train. We arrived at Roma Termini which is about a 20-25 min walk to the hotel. It was a little difficult dragging our luggage on cobblestone but we survived! Once we got to the address it was hard to spot where the actual hotel... More

Trying to be as fair as possible here.... so the staff was friendly, close to train station (20 minute walk), cozy, adequate breakfast, AC worked well. However, good luck if you try to walk there. The #11 is not posted outside, The hotel picture on Expedia is not of this but another hotel down the street. We walked around about... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
