We ended up in Ciao Bella's because there was a double booking at the hostel we actually booked. We were "welcomed" by the sentence: hello, I'm sure I've seen you before. Later one we discovered our hosts smoked and partied in the lounge while they have forbidden it to us and a bunch of friends stayed over in the coaches... more
We stayed here in 2008 and despite booking two beds, we had to share one for a night! Apart from that, the hostel wasn't as bad as some of the previous reviews testify. I was very worried as I read all these reviews after I had booked for myself and 2 friends to stay in Ciao Bella.... However, there was no need! It was more than adequate and acceptable! Apart from moderately friendly staff this place is rough. The rooms have no locks, there are no lockers for your stuff. The washroom facilities are the worst I've ever seen, random showers, brutal toilets and no working sockets in the room.
