We stayed here in December 2010, it was perfect location, the hostess was lovely, provided a map and help if it was needed, very pleasant. Clean rooms, bar fridge was very useful for storing delicious Italian snacks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.

Emma, the owner of this very charming B&B helped us with our bags, provided us with a map and directions with how to get to all of the great places to visit. The location is excellent as the Colosseum is less than a 15 minute walk away and the train station is also extremely close if you want to go... More

Positives: Friendly service! We were allowed to check in early at 9am! Great Location. Short walk to Termini & the colloseum, and reasonable walking to all other parts of Rome too Great price and clean room/bathroom with fridge and safe Negatives (all advertised and were not a problem for us): No AC (not a problem for us in May), shared... Yes breakfast is basic, yes theres no wi fi or tv and yes you share a bathroom with two other guests. Bottom line is for 70 euro you get a fantastic location and clean place. Rooms are spacious too.

The reviews on line are far from actual if the give this place a good rating. It was a nightmare on Elm street experience. The shared bathroom and blood all over it...It looked like a crime scene. The owner doesn't even live there. She had food waiting for us in the room when we got there. It was for the... More

We loved the location: an apartment building on Via Cavour, halfway between Santa Maria Maggiore and the Colliseum. It was away from the crowds but only 2 blocks from the Cavour Metro station and had a Laundromat with internet access 2 doors down and a grocery store just past that. Between walking, the Metro and bus #87, we could easily... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
